Crazy substitutions. No service to the strikers. Had to defend the last 10 Min instead of keeping the ball.
Great win at the end.

Judging by last week no chance which is a shame really considering he is our longest serving player

Yea, well done Tommy, that cancels out last weeks error, two points lost, two points won.

I think that makes it three consecutive 2-1 wins at Portman Road v The Owls.

Nice for tommy to score but i still stand by my opinion that chambers and berra make a better CB pairing. By all account Tommy is a great lad but i think others are ahead of him in selection stakes. Its not about getting on his back, its about Town getting results.

With Chambo playing out of position and TS playing on his least favoured side, we continue to have an unbalanced defence, and therefore one likely to concede. Chambo was as much at fault last week (as CB), and again today at RB for the SW goal. However, the real issue remains MM's apparent reluctance to accept what appears to be blindingly obvious, and - so far - his reluctance to do anything about it. It's been discussed to death on here!

Today, however, Smith and Berra were solid - particularly when , once again, under pressure in the final 10. In truth, I'm not sure that as CBs played in their natural positions, there's honestly much between them. However, whilst MM continues with the status quo, aim should be for a high level of consistency - benchmarked against today's performances against a big, strong and hard-working team.

However, that's only one aspect of what was an excellent performance and result, and sets us up nicely for Burnley - who didn't look the dogs doughnuts against Birmingham earlier today.

Read the match report from TWTD and bottom line, obtained the three points. The opening weekend at Brentford still frustrates to an extent, but had you offered the three results from start of season - would have taken without hesitation.

20,000 + today represented a fine turn-out and it's clear the supporters see some promise ahead. Say again we've assembled the best squad here in ten years so let's keep the momentum underway and while it's too premature to be making proper judgments, feel slightly optimistic this season we can finally make it back to the EPL.

I really enjoyed yesterday's match, I thought it was great entertainment throughout even if the nerves were made to jangle again in the final Five minutes or so. That said for me it was a deserved Three points as far as I am concerned, I thought we were unfortunate to go behind as we had made all the running early on and Murphy had a couple of decent early chances, I felt their goal was poosibly down to Bart again, a very weak attempt to palm the cross away and it fell invitingly to their player to put it away. Thankfully super Freddie Sears made sure we werent behind for long which I feel was vital as they could well have proved very hard to break down the longer it went on.

The second half pretty much belonged to us as I felt for the majority we looked the most likely team to win it, how apt that last weeks villain and the guy most want dropped popped up with what turned out to be the winning goal, well done and fair play to Tommy Smith who in truth had a decent game, as Herforder said above, Chambo was definitely as much at fault last week at Brentford and again yesterday he fluffed it up for their cross which led to the Owl's goal. I said to Hallam at HT that if we stepped it up just 10% in the second half and get Ryan Fraser more involved we could go on to nick the win and so it proved, Fraser had a very good second half and his run and cross for Smith to score was quality and something we have been crying out for for years, already he is showing that he is going to be massive for us this season.

Again there were so good individual performances from the boys, the pick for me were Fraser for his second half display, Sears who I thought was excellent, not just the sublime finish but his all round game, Skuse was everywhere in midfield and did what Skusey does to great effect, one tackle in the box in particular saved an almost certain Wednesday goal, Jonas Knudsen also had a decent game and is improving while bart had a very solid second half, caught loads of crosses and made a vital save right at the death. Plenty of reasons to be cheerful and despite the fact we should be top of the table right now things have started well, bring on the Burnley.

Fair enough, a case can be made for a different pairing of CBs. I was referring to last year where it seemed every loss was somehow Smith's doing.
