Thinking of you Bart.

Post by Bluemike » Mon Aug 24, 2015 7:07 am

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski has revealed why he was not able to play in Ipswich Town’s win at Preston on Saturday.

The stopper, who had flown to his home country of Poland before the game, posted on Twitter on Sunday evening that his father had died.

“R.I.P Dad... I know u r in the better place now... Love u so much,” Bialkowski wrote on the social networking site, accompanied by a picture of his father.

Other Twitter users, including the Bialkowski’s former teammate Stephen Hunt, offered words of support to the ‘keeper.
Thinking of you big man at this terrible time. RIP Bart's Dad.

Losing a parent is the worst scenario anyone can endure. Take this opportunity to offer condolences to Mr Bialkowski on his recent loss.

Yeah I meant regarding the save bit lol. I think we should also show our respects for the young Brighton footballer who was tragically killed in the Aeroplane disaster at the weekend.

It's always sad to lose any family member but whilst I maybe in the minority I don't see this proposed tribute as being appropriate.

Tributes such as the one suggested should be used sparingly and used only for exceptional servants of the club such as players and Managers.

I agree, I don't really think it's our place to get involved in this either. It's his private life, he could probably do without being reminded of it at his work too. The sentiment is nice, but let the guy grieve in peace.
