Capital One Cup Draw Integrity

Post by Domhide » Wed Aug 26, 2015 10:14 am

Please can anyone explain how we came to draw ManU Reserves?
Where the 3rd Round Draw was was made?
Who witnessed it?
Was it televised?

Or was it only available only via Radio / Social media?

Televised on Sky. Great draw IMO. And a great all round 3rd draw....... Villa v Brum & Spurs v Gooners.

Thanks for that Marko, I barely have a Wifi signal let alone Sky and the DAB Radio signal sounds like bonfire night.

So it is reassuring to know the draw was not fixed.

Strange that the Capital Cup Website does not advertise this info.

They had West Ham / Millwall a few seasons back so doubtful anyone would intentionally force such a hostile scenario.

Aston Villa played Birmingham also more recent in the competition and remember reading there was chaos for a while around the stadium's vicinity with a number of arrests for "inappropriate behavior". Spurs / Arsenal is another cause for concern but we'll have to wait and see what occurs this time on the nights in question.

Say again I don't believe we can win in Manchester for our respective game. In past years there would be a replayed game and would favor our chances back at PR, but as a one off game, believe they'll have too much for us. (If McCarthy sends out a junior side / inexperienced players on the night they may well be a little tentative / unnerved by the awe and grandeur of playing at a venue such as Old Trafford)
