Re: Who would you play?
After seeing a live game, and with the player not scoring above 5/10 in any report read, very wary of Knudsen. Think I'd put my mothers dog, Chip in there before Knudsen.

Re: Who would you play?
My wee cousins boy. Ok, he's only 13, but he is going to be awesome. Look out Messi.
Really should be beating Huddersfield at Portman Road regardless of who Mick plays. Not expecting a loss or a draw......., it's a win. Anything less is unacceptable in my opinion.

Hopefully the Knudsen chap plays a decent game and brings more than just a long throw.

He normally brings a towel too. MM keeps finding it and throws it in!marko69 wrote:Hopefully the Knudsen chap plays a decent game and brings more than just a long throw.

Re: Who would you play?
Speaking of Towels, I have an ancient, faded, ITFC towel. It's the size of a feckin bungalow. Mick would find that one no trouble at all.

Re: Who would you play?
For me, it'd be Sears and Murphy....., McGoldrick just behind. Murphy needs game time.
Pitman isn't the answer for any team looking for promotion/play offs.

Re: Who would you play?
MM's comments in today's EADT suggest there will be little change in his selection for this afternoon.
It makes me wonder how badly some people bave to play before changes are made. Lose again today and the knives will be out.

Without being controversial, or indeed argumentative with anyone on this forum; if ITFC lose today, @ Portman Road, to Huddersfield Town, the optimists can go f*ck themselves. There will be deserved anger on this forum.

Well marco, they didnt lose but it was an awful match to endure. Huddersfield were poor as were itfc. Reading micks interveiw all is still rosy however, so lord knows where the next result is coming from.marko69 wrote:Without being controversial, or indeed argumentative with anyone on this forum; if ITFC lose today, @ Portman Road, to Huddersfield Town, the optimists can go f*ck themselves. Re: Who would you play?
I wonder sometimes whether what Mick says post match is him being coy and not revealing what in truth should go on behind the dressing room door. It would be unprofessional of McCarthy tompublicallg slate his players. I cang believe for one minute he's blind to what we all see. The buck ultimately stops at McCarthys door. Its up to him to manager it appropriately, or face the consequences. Time will tell.

Re: Who would you play?
Well if Mick is playing this kind of game... it could backfire on him. He's losing a lot of goodwill with the fans that he's earnt from doing a great job over the last 3 seasons.hallamblue wrote:I wonder sometimes whether what Mick says post match is him being coy and not revealing what in truth should go on behind the dressing room door. We need to freshen up the team.... and Mick says he will make changes.... and all he does is bring in Oar ( replacement for injury), Knudsen back after injury and Pitman comes back in.
That's not changes. He's got his 6 or so players that he will stick by whatever..... and the fringe players who he will drop and appear to be the scapegoats in his mind.
Not sure what's going on behind closed doors, but there's a group of players who don't seem to be getting a fair deal and a group of players who seem to be untouchable. I don't see that as healthy.
Would it have upset the team dynamicsthat much if he'd changed the defence a bit? Give Parr a run out at RB or LB.... bring Bru in to replace Douglas.... give Didsy some game time from the start? Hardly being disloyal to certain players... Tinkering with selection and systems is part of modern football.
Same old... same old mediocrity... hoping that the spirit of last year will scrape a win against Huddersfield.
He's making a rod for his back and doesn't need to be so bloody stubborn.

Re: Who would you play?
I wasn't very impressed when MM was appointed but his professionalism in turning this club around after the Jewell/Keane era changed my mind and he won over my support.
But.... all the good work done the team seems to be falling apart and in my mind no progress is being made, he's getting more and more stubborn and will no doubt get worse as he gets older. I think he's "lost it".
No win at Portman Road since mid August and no sign of one either, struggling to pick up even a point against Bristol City and Huddersfield Town, sad as it may seem I'm moving towards the camp that says it could be time for a change before we're back to square one.
