The scoreline is disappointing for sure but wouldn't class it as disgrace. Point being, we have created chances, had the greater possession thus far etc. Should be interesting post-game reaction if nothing else.shamm wrote:3-0.

At least we have three games in November against the bottom three teams.....
That could be 9 points from three games or a rude awakening as to how far we've fallen back.
Keep the faith....

Really not sure that any team we play can contain the opposition at this moment. Needs a serious management intervention. I am not sure what we can do to change things up.James Scharmann wrote:3-0 damn goes my prediction

Notts Forest winning at home, not what we need for Saturday.

We shouldn't be in a position where that even comes into itpatthegimp wrote:keep the faith. Mick will keep us up
What I mean is, we should be challenging the promotion places - as with last season. Would McCarthy receive plaudits for keeping Town in the championship league ? f**king hell : as before we shouldn't even be in such a position
I don't want to survive a relegation, I want to see the club up there as before challenging the top two places, or if not that, another play-off opportunity at least.
Edit, Pitman has been introduced, but not sure what impact he can do at this stage of the game

My attempt at irony went unnoticed then? Emanating from a fatalistic attitude at the way things are going. Combination at failure to bring in potential premiership standard players,Micks inability to manage a passing team and subsequent injuries to the few genuinely creative players we have( Bishop, Fraser)-we're doomed , doomed.

Keep us up, your having a bloody laugh!
We should be in the top six, we have on paper a good team, they need to be playing as one.
Sort them out Mick or you maybe the next managerial casualty, very disappointed so far.

Can't wait to hear Mick's reaction
I'm actually dreading the 3 games we have coming up on Sky, could be a car crash tv situation.

I see that as time up and what do we have : a 3 - 0 loss to review.
Easy to castigate the team on score alone, but apparently our side had as many shooting opportunities as the opposition by end of game, possession finished just about equal. Can't always see below the surface when you keep track by way of updates here and there and not live witness to a game, but won't take the opportunity to berate certain individuals until obtaining a greater understanding of what truly occurred there today.
Bottom line, disappointed, thought ahead of time we could take something from this.

....but we only had two shots on target in 90mins compared to Hulls five, three of which they scored goals from. Hardly equal stats SJ.
To be honest 3-0 is only one goal different to what most of us expected so I guess we shouldn't be overly disappointed.

Pretty much everyone expected a defeat tonight, this type of game is not where we are letting ourselves down, it's dropping points at home to Huddersfield etc, Saturday at Forest is a game where I am hopeful of a positve result. The bad run needs to end now, after Forest there is Five successive wins on the way. Keep the faith.

We need it Mike. Four weeks ago we were level on points with Hull City and tonight we're 6 points behind them, and we've had the International break.

We need to pick up points and fast. The 3 games on Sky we should be aiming for 6 points at Charlton and MK Dons at least.

Re: Hull City v Ipswich Town preview and matchday thread
We can't wait that long Lucy, we have five games to play before we play Charlton and seven before we play MK Dons.
If we wait that long to pick up points we'll be rooted in the relegation zone and McCarthy will be on his way out.

Mings obviously has nothing better to do than annoy the fans. Some haven't taken well to his comments.

As demonstrated by ITFC tonight; changing things doesn't always work wonders.
And AndyM said the other week, "Knudsen is a disaster" (or words to that effect) and now Mike passing comment on the woefullness....., please leave, Knudsen. I saw you against Reading, or was it Birmingham?...., either/or; you suck.

What's wrong with his comments? He tried supporting his old team mates and manager and our fans act like he's spitting on the club. I hate this form as much as anyone but wow, people really need to calm down.lucy wrote:Mings obviously has nothing better to do than annoy the fans. Some haven't taken well to his comments.
