Did not realize he was still playing, seems an age since he was here at Portman Road.

Don't remember much from his time here in actual fact. Seem to recall when we signed him up (I believed) we were bringing in someone that could contribute or make an impression but apart from one or two standout scores or individual games it wasn't anything overly memorable. Must have been Jewell or Keane that brought him in, possibly Magilton, although that may have been too far back. Sure it wasn't under Royle's tenure.

Something of a disappointment maybe, did well at previous clubs (Watford ?) but was never able to fully replicate his achievements from elsewhere.

Like a lot of strikers he was a one season wonder he scores 12 for Watford one season then we bought him and has done nothing since.

Thank goodness for the smiling wink in the thread title.

Decent strike though. Although the defence did look like Chambers, Berra and Smith performing their headless chicken, self destruct routine.
