No chance them getting back in this. Charlton have played awful all game.saint jude wrote:Never know what you're going to get with this side from one week to the next but this is very encouraging. Too early to be complacent but on track for a very good score. Don't let them back in it

Unable to find this on any radio frequency. Guessing Charlton vs Ipswich isn't big enough to warrant a broadcast..
Never mind it's three zero right now and surely they can't pull this back. (Said that when Milan played Liverpool in the Cup Final a few years back, but should be safe enough)

Must be half-time now. 3 goal lead seems safe enough : even any often defensive lapses at the very end would seem immaterial.
Edit, Lucy said it was Full Time. Got carried away with Ipswich doing so well today in my defense.
Very good score - well done to all involved

Check out Frank Dunnery from 80s/90s band, It Bites. He's furthest left as you look at it. Dead ringer for Freddie Sears. He's Dunnerys love child.

A workman like performance rather than free flowing football but just the type that you need in this league. Actually thought we played better last week against Wolves but as always it is the result that counts.

Re: Charlton Athletic v Ipswich Town preview and matchday thread
A super result, a solid performance and a great day out so I am well happy. For me it was comfortable from the start and before we had even scored we had created 3 decent half chances, the header in particular that just missed the post. 10 points from 12 during the month of November is more than acceptable and sees us right back on the cusp of the play off places.
I thought Freddie Sears was superb today, his workrate and movement was phenomenal, Murphy looks back to his best with another brace, thats six in the last Three and the defence stood firm against what little was thrown at them, it wasnt until we went 3-0 up that they really had any decent chances.
I was over the moon for Two of our scapegoals today, again Jonathon Douglas had a really solid game and showed just why we snapped him up, another gritty workhorse who also gets forward to cause problems. And then there is Dean Gerken, the man that mosl love to hate and slag off at every given opportunity, his handling was solid throughout and the Three saves when the game was already won rewarded him with the much deserved clean sheet, Two of them were great saves. in answer to your question Marko, I too have no idea why he gets so much stick but what I do know is those that slag him off no matter what he does are wallies, it's as simple as that.
The away support was fantastic today, both in the pub before the game and at the game itself, well done to the Tractor Boys army. On we go to Middlesbrough now and no doubt a much sterner test but the confidence is growing and we are returning to a little bit of form again, 3 wins in the last 4 and 1 defeat in the last 8, crisis.....what crisis ????
