Have sacked Dougie Freedman. What can they hope to achieve from that.

Not long ago they went 14 games without defeat, we really do have to be careful what we wish for here.

I think Forest like many Clubs in this division are in a bit of a mess. Town , although in debt appear to be better off than most by some quirk of "sods" law.

I never rated Friedman from the off. He's hardly set the world alight has he.

I seem to remember this being in the opening weeks of the season. Obviously for the most part I don't follow Forest's progression - the only real relevance is when they play Town themselves - but from August to late fall they were believe one of the frontrunners and looking set for a promotion, but as we've seen so many times before, a club falls away and actions like this are undertaken.

Would appear Freedman is perhaps another example of an ex-player who has tried their hand at management only to fail and show a poor record. Names like this are a dime a dozen (Roy Keane for instance) but at least he's shown enough intent to give it a go if nothing else. Who will employ him next remains to be seen.

No it was not the early weeks of the season at all, it was from the end of November to the second week of february, not long ago.

I expect Dougie Freedman to be given more opportunities to manage before either he or others decide it's time to give up.

With Forest operating under the contraints of a transfer embargo applied under the FFP rules life was always going to be difficult.

Like Town Forest depend mainly on Loans & Freebies which makes it tough for the management team and Freedman has nowhere near the experience of Mick MCCarthy.

Net result negative football and little entertainment.

Add to that poor results = manager gets the sack.

Bring on the next manager who may well operate under different rules if Forest manage to get the transfer ban lifted in June.

My best guess is that ex Leicester manager Nigel Pearson will be next in post.
