Big chance to close the gap. Derby at home to Hull and Cardiff are at Burnley. We must beat Charlton.

Yep, still a faint chance to haul ourselves back into it, just a shame Derby have Bolton at home next saturday.

Wouldn't worry too much about that, that'll be the annoying beyond belief, championship coupon burster, Derby 0 Bolton 2.

Id say the season has peetered out to a damp squib now. I should have put some money on it really, as I predicted this would happen if we didnt strengthen .

Lol, I suppose it was more a figure of speech than an actual bet marko. Obviously you are a past master at putting a bet on something, so I wouldnt be taking you on regards a bet, nor mike!

For some the season was over as soon as Portsmouth won the replay game in January. Said before we've punched above our weight for the most part this year and whatever promise there was back in August has been jeopardized by so many elements that we don't need to elaborate. Yeah they'll be talk of getting something done when the new season is underway for 2016 - 17, but ask yourselves, with the manager and owner that we possess, I can't see much change from what we now have. Maybe flirt with the idea of a top six finish but for actual promotion talk, forget it, it's unlikely to occur.

Another setback with Charlton on Tuesday won't be the final call on our season but there at least presents an opportunity to get our act together, obtain three points and keep the play-off achievement alive. Trouble is the team often struggles to find a result against teams in the lower positions but something has to change and hopefully McCarthy will emphasize to the players the need for victory and that we can still be involved.
