Just another game we can not score.......

Post by jeremy rusher » Sat Apr 23, 2016 11:18 pm

Ok...we get a point v Middlesborough. Could of lost 5-0 if it was not for an outstanding goalkeeper. Once again our keeper is the Ipswich man of the match.
Of course Mick McCarthy is once again delighted at a boring team performance.

Even the highlights on Channel 5 tonight could not even show Ipswich over the half way line. Not even a mention about Ipswich on the highlights either.

The game was anything but boring but that is the problem when you have to rely on 20 seconds of TV analysis and a few lines in the press by someone who was writing and probably not even there.

So you've seen short highlights on Channel 5 and following that you decided to create the thread and moan

I was there with Bluemike and I'm pleased and encouraged by teams performance in the 2nd half. You've seen 20-30 seconds on the telly and post some tripe. You're really 'special' fan

Boring or not, I was not there and will not comment. I did listen to it though.

However, it was another game where we did not score and had to rely on another first class GK performance to prevent them from being them being several goals up. Hardly something to be delighted about.

More likely a lucky point to be thankful for.

I realize the author has a certain duty to speak out when the team doesn't pick up victory / suffers defeat / plays poorly / sees players out of position / team doesn't create enough opportunity / (delete as appropriate) but what were you expecting yesterday.

Traveled to a team that occupied first place in the league if correct and at their own venue, and came away with a point. Different if the team had suffered a comprehensive loss or played like garbage as in previous games but there were certain positives to take for once by all accounts and the score alone would have lifted many.

Were you expecting Wark, Mariner and Brazil et al to emerge from the tunnel and put on a show ? No-one was expecting anything from this game and given the crap for much of the season the team came away with a score that surprised all and (while) maybe it didn't reflect the home sides possession or overall chances, it's still something you can take pride in.

Watching some (sub-standard) program or highlights show isn't going to provide enough insight to all that occurs during game time.

A predictable thread creation by the usual suspect. I expect the result has made his day. Get a life mate.
