just had to voice my anger at the US president. .. and his recent comments.

Obama needs to shut the fluck up about the UK and our European referendum. Who the f*** do the americans think they are threatening us with reduced trade deals eg "back of the queue" . They only want us in the EU so they can "use" this Country as a USA Base to strike at the middle East. He can shove his threats up his rear end and keep his opinions regarding OUR politics /affairs to himself.

"Special relation" my arse......they use us as a stepping stone into European affairs and so they can fight their wars in other nations back yards ( including ours) , because they're basically bully boys and essentially cowards.

Like religion, politics is a pond full of snapping crocs into which we dip our toe very carefully!

For me, the Falklands conflict demonstrated conclusively that you can't trust 'em; they wanted us to hand the islands to Argentina and, initially, lobbied for that outcome. The only thing that matters is US interests being best served - no matter who is being dealt with. The ends always justifies the means, however achieved, and whoever has to suffer.

If anyone were to suggest that the US effectively ceded sovereignty and law making powers to a greater Canadian/US/South American alliance there would be civil war!

Going from what I've seen in the news read, Facebook, and many other media reports, on Out of the EU referendum, I would say as it stands Brexit stands a pretty good chance of winning by quite a margin, at least we stand a bloody good chance of Cameron & Osborne getting chucked out of office, and install someone who listens to the people, and so long as its British born people who can only vote, not the hoards let in by Labour under Blair & Brown, this is a British democracy vote by the Brits for The Brits, FREEDOM FROM THE BRUSSELLS BUREAUCRATS, if it stops foreign players coming here that's fine by me, more chance for our home grown talent to shine.

Some world leaders feel they have an obligation to stamp their authority or get involved in other people's business : it's the way it was, the way it is, the way it will always be. Obama traveled to Europe recently when these comments were made, had it been mentioned from DC, there's little chance it would have garnered the attention it has for some individuals.

Rumor has it Obama took offense to a bust of (Winston) Churchill in the Oval Office and replaced it with one of Martin Luther King (in defense of being our nation's first African-American leader) but what you can ascertain, the nation (since Obama was elected) seems more divided than ever.

Don't have much time for politics, it's invariably the same pretense and disingenuous bullshit wherever you find it, but for those not in favor of Obama leadership, Trump or Ted Cruz could be but a short time ahead, but for many it's not going to be a change for the better.

When we don't know the impact of voting either "in or out" it seems ridiculous having a referendum.

In my humble opinion if we don't know for sure we'd be better off coming out then we should stay in. If we vote out and then don't like it there will be know way back for sure, if we stay out and things get worse we can always have another vote a few years down the line.

My biggest worry is that the Labour Party want to stay in, that alone makes me think we should be coming out.

Why not have a vote on the Brexit In or Out Topic on the General Chat Chat Forum in the General Area.

I’m old enough to remember the vote to go in it, i can honestly say i did’nt know one person who voted yes to join. And as you say regardless of the vote we will stay in. Staying in keeps all those failed politicians and their families in jobs which cost us Billions.
My take on it is, you either join 100% with no ifs and buts, no negotiating for bits we like,
Or walk away and get our once Great country back,

I wasnt very old then but I honesyly cant remember there being a public vote. I thought old Ted Heath just voted the Country in, and there was no discussion.
