Re: Ipswich Town vs MK Dons Preview and Matchday Thread
What's the deal with the banner at yesterday's game ? It's all TWTD will respond to for the last 12 hours and can't see the problem here.
If someone wants to take one to a game and illustrate a point then good enough, it's not as if there was anything malicious shown, merely a message that our play is boring and uneventful with acknowledgement to McCarthy above all else - and the author over there (who in fact was responsible for the item in question) was taking some serious ridicule when last looked in.
I realize there's maybe not enough for some to get involved in on fan forums and there will invariably be 'quiet moments', but the fact that a simple (harmless enough) issue has degenerated into a near war-zone, is ridiculous, if not pitiful. - Someone took a banner to the game, wanted to provide a message that would hopefully receive some level of acknowledgement, and lo and behold, it's the crime of the century in some eyes. Hard to get hold of what's so damaging here.
(As if we don't see instances of this very nature (at sports events) week in week out, not only in the UK, but Europe and Worldwide)

Judging by the fans who stayed behind and the chants for "Super Mick" It would appear he has plenty of support and understanding from the fans.

Are these the same people who just two weeks back wanted his head on a plate and were berating his as* left and right (frantically appealing for a change in management)hallamblue wrote:Judging by the fans who stayed behind and the chants for "Super Mick" It would appear he has plenty of support and understanding from the fans.
Either we got the most fickle support in the league, or a fortunate escape (at Middlesbrough) and struggle to beat a team already relegated (MKD) within the last two games, is (for some) enough compensation for nearly an entire season of garbage and missed opportunity.
The only thing missing is McCarthy obtaining a manager of the month award should there be a favorable score in the Derby game last up.

Have you only just cottoned on to that ? I have been saying it for long enough. There are a great core of understanding ITFC fans who realise what we are and where we are, and then there are the dunderheads. They change their stance numerous times during a game never mind a season LOL.saint jude wrote:Are these the same people who just two weeks back wanted his head on a plate and were berating his as* left and right (frantically appealing for a change in management)hallamblue wrote:Judging by the fans who stayed behind and the chants for "Super Mick" It would appear he has plenty of support and understanding from the fans.

You need to grow up, and a few English lessons wouldn't go amiss either because you calling anyone a dunderhead is quite funny when your posts clearly illustrate that you are pretty thick.

Since I don't know what a dunderhead is, does that make me a dunderhead?

I think you're ok number 9, but like you I'd never heard or seen the word used before so decided to look it up....
The definition is thus which I guess is why the conversation could get heated....

So when somebody shouts at me saying "Hey, shut up you Dunderhead" I'll be thinking of you Mike laughing
Seriously though, the season has dried up and the last two months or so been very disappointing to say the very least. Still rather finish 8th than than looking over our shoulders at the dreaded drop!!

I think there's a lift up to the Churchman's Gods - if all else fails. I sit directly in front of the disabled lads and lasses area in upper/centre block, which is how they get access. (Great bunch, by the way, with fantastic senses of humour.). Agree, too, it gives a great view - which, at times, has been a double-edged sword!Steve and Jo wrote:Depending on when i get my right hip operation done hopefully stay in the South upper.. Ha,ha! If the Soccer Gods look favourably upon us, we'll see 'em at slightly closer PR quarters next season.marko69 wrote:Was going to say something along those lines regarding the view. Can see the Shyte perfectly up there?!

Ok great i get a shoulder to lean on.. Hoping the powers to be in the NHS get me in before season starts but doubt it. Row Z in area 2 is getting harder and harder every game to climb. Thing is though if get bored with football i can see over the Cobbold stand and think of things gone by.
If sitting there by the disabled then possibly can hear the crowed i am sitting with. Doesn't take them long to start the moaning and groaning

Steve....... Did these doctors actually say you'd be "nailed" with a "screw"? Ffs mate, make sure they know what they're doing before letting them anywhere near you!

The technical jargon is great don't you think Marko? LOL.. No all i know is my hip on my right side is flaking and brittle, the joint needs replacing with some kind of fused basket holding the hip together as well.. Think be like the old Meccano building sets.. This piece goes there, that joins that piece.. Ohh damn, got a piece left over.. Now where does this go.. Building by numbers
