Sorry to spoil your fun Marko, bit I am actually quite optimistic about this. Unusual I know, but I'm intrigued that he is not a loan or freebee.marko69 wrote:Well its certainly ruined my feckin agenda. Totally pist off!

Just wait until 3:01pm, 6th August, in the PR crowd, JK.
Murphy & Didsy take centre......, ball back to The Bish, he hooks it out to Sears......., pressure closes in on Sears, lays it inside to Douglas, who sweeps it over to Skuse......., Skuse to Ward, ball goes under Wards foot and out for a Barnsley throw in.

Re: Rumours Thread.
Can only reiterate what's already been mentioned. Fair enough the names being brought in may be largely unrecognized to some but wasn't expecting extravagant purchases and stupendous loan deals. That alone the club is showing enough determination to bring new faces in is good enough and hope the newest additions settle in quickly and can make a difference in the weeks and months ahead.
All that's required is quit with the high-ball tactics and prevent loss of concentration at pivotal times, and with the new additions and other players working to their abilities, we may have a good opportunity to achieve something in the upcoming season.

Last night an Ipswich 11 lost to AFC Sudbury 5 - 4. Andre Dozzell gave one goal away. Apparently Stewart played well

Yes, this definitely would be great. I mean this guy can sing. Should they be getting pumped 3-0 at half time, he'd get them cheered up with a good old sing-song.bluemike wrote:Also waiting on Lamah who has been offered a contract.

Re: Rumours Thread.
Another youngster! I really like the type of players MM is brining in. Many of us said we were tired of the ageing journeyman we had in the squad, and now MM seems to finally be addressing this. MM also seems to be changing tactics exemplified in our new passing game. Have to admit I've been very critical of said topics above, but I'm very pleased MM is addressing those issues. I'll say it now, if we continue to build the way we are...even if this season doesn't result in promotion we'll have the foundation to kick on in the future. Re: Rumours Thread.
So now it's clear. No deal for Lamah, Stewart, Coke & Malarczyk all available to go out on loan/transfer. Business over. Season starting.....

Lamah apparently had other options...no worries. MM has given Stewart plenty of time to break into the first team...farewell. Coke and Malarczyk were never good enough to become first teamers...see ya.Dubai Blue wrote:So now it's clear. No deal for Lamah, Stewart, Coke & Malarczyk all available to go out on loan/transfer. Still, a good bit of business in Grant and Ward!

Another rabbit pulled from his hat by Mick the Magician. Once again, nobody saw that one coming, but let's be positive (go on folks, give it a go!), and welcome another Grant to our ranks. Seems that he may be more a left midfielder, rather than a winger, so wouldn't discount the CP lad also arriving. We're looking good, Houston!

Re: Rumours Thread.
It is looking a bit more promising now. I went to Saturday's friendly and wasn't over impressed. Sure we had lots of possession against poor opposition but had no cutting edge whatsoever. It was nice to see us passing the ball but we created very little. Bishop looks good but he has a lot to learn - like when to play a quick ball rather than always taking on the entire opposition. Sears much the same which is why he is wasted when he plays a deeper role; he has no vision and just gets his head down and runs until he loses it.
If - and I will reserve judgement until I've seen them play - the new signings can deliver a telling pass or put in a decent cross, then we might have a half decent swason with both results and performances.

Yes, hopefully the gap between performance and results might be narrowed, with MM's additions. Certainly looked more positive on Saturday; with obvious room for improvement in terms of end product following spells of possession. (And, of course, getting those almost comical defensive ricks out of the system).

Re: Rumours Thread.
I wouldn't be so sure that is the end of our business by any means. I still think there could be at least one more new arrival berore the deadline passes.Dubai Blue wrote:So now it's clear. Those comments certainly don't give me the impression that it is definitely done and dusted with new signings.he Blues boss says the additions of Grant Ward and Conor Grant will be the extent of his business for the moment at least with no other signings imminent.
“Not before the weekend and I’m certainly not as anxious to get anybody now because we’ve just signed two of them," he said.
"It is before Saturday. We’ll see. Let’s see how we start, then we’ll decide.”
