I hope other fans will agree but there are fans that will stick with MM
regardless of poor results.
My gut feeling is that we will finish mid table unless something major happens.

Hi, i have been a town supporter for over 30 years, and what gets my goat is that MM
fails to play the old fashion wing play game. As a past outside right player when i was
young the main objective was to aim for the by-line and cross...job done!!!!!
If you are going to play with two wingers, then they should be prepared to attack defenders
and not shy away. Playing the ball back sends a message to defenders that you have no balls!!!
MM should only use players in their strongest positions and not out of position.
He should go and sooner the better! !!!

My motto for MM is play with passion, dictate the game from start, be aggressive in attack,
then he may win back the fans(wishful thinking).

Yes, i do still go, but regret going sometimes as I've lost fingernails, and hair since the beginning of the season. Imagine the state of me come Xmas!!!!

What was the first game you went to Len?

Looking at the immediate games ahead, if we lose maximum points to Blackburn Rovers and Burton, then enough pissing around : Mick McCarthy should realize enough is enough and do the decent thing and walk away.

Was going to add Rotherham in to it, but those two games alone offer ample opportunity to redeem a situation. Of course, believe there's a trip to Newcastle somewhere in between and not expecting much from that journey, but for the less recognized teams this league has to offer, if the team continues to fall short and disappoint, then someone needs to take the relevant actions, while the season is still young enough that we can yet achieve something.

What was the first game you went to Len?

My first game i went to was back in 1962-63 season and town played Inter Milan at home.
What a great game that was, just over 30,000 packed in Portman Road, and best of all
we won 2-1. We were aggressive in attack and solid at the back. Back then the town played
with a great deal of passion, unlike now there is no passion within the team.

I couldn't afford to go to the match against AC Milan so stayed at home and did my A level homework (sad). However, I kept the bedroom window open so that I could hear the roar of the crowd from Portman Road (a couple of miles away) each time town scored!

That was one of my most memorable autograph collection successes capturing all of the AC Milan squads signatures and having my photograph in the Ipswich Evening Star sitting with the players in the lounge of the White Horse Hotel in Tavern Street. Very memorable as was the game. I was 11 at the time. AC Milan went on to win the 1963 European Cup in a final played at Wembley Stadium which they won 2-1 v Benfica.

That's a cracking story Charnwood - as an eleven year old you must have been on cloud nine! I also recall that when Town played the away leg, there was a picture in the Evening Star of the team in the immense San Siro stadium. I vowed to myself that if Town ever got to play in that stadium again then I would be there. I had to wait a few years for that!!
