For us, it'll be curtains fairly early if they don't get a result in Slovakia tonight. Horrendous result @ Hampden last Saturday.
Marko

I see Scotland have been given just over 13,000 tickets for the game at Wembley next month.

Not sure what we will get for Hampden but don't reckon it will be more than 7,000. As long as we get at least 250 I will be alright for a ticket.

Yes I think the London constabulary need to be out in force for the game, Shed. A very limited amount of new wave young twats following the national team at the moment. They'll be out to "noise the place up" in London and in Glasgow. Among them, probably some of the arsehole element that were on the Hampden pitch back in May. Giving us a bad name and I do not like it.

I'll be watching both games with my buddies, and a few of them...... Are English!! Always a great laugh though, win, lose or draw. Or should I say, draw, lose or draw! :D

Will this be the first game at the New Wembley for the Scots? Could be time to get some new souvenirs. Heard that many of the scots planted some Wembley turf in their gardens as a momento after that game in the 70's (1976?).
England vs Scotland always has a bit of an edge to it, even though we're both not top drawer teams. Miss the Home Nations tournament , but can understand its too much to fit into the football calendar.

They played England in a friendly (if there is such a thing) at the New Wembley in August 2013.
As for collecting souvenirs you could be right as the one's they got back in 77 might need replacing now.

No disrespect, but I think Rooney should have retired from international football after the world cup. Even though he's only 31, he's a dinosaur now for England (after starting his professional career at 16). He'd surely benefit at ManU if he gave England up anyway. Kudos to Southgate for having the balls to drop him...unlike his predecessors.

I followed Rooney at Everton until his eventual sale to Manchester United twelve years back and at that time he was arguably one of the most exciting "child" prodigies in the world, but the subsequent years have been disappointing it could be argued, particularly at international level. One standout tournament at Euro 2004, but what the hell else ? Seriously, and he's top scorer for the English now, a better or more established center forward than Greaves, Tom Finney or Lineker ? Christ, it has to be seen to be believed.

Incidentally, how many people will actually be traveling to Russia in two years time regardless of team support ? That could be the least represented World Cup in tournament history (until Qatar will eclipse that statistic in the next set-up)

I think I must be one of the few who has never rated Rooney on the world stage at all, record goalscorer he might be but the amount of games we play now against crap opposition is it any wonder. I don't think he has ever turned up at a major tournament.

He's always missed the major tournaments due to injury!

I rated Rooney when he was a teenager.... looked like he could be a genuine world class player.

But never turned up the last 10 years at real tournaments.... and living off reputation and just picking up the caps/ goals against crap opposition.

We have a problem in this country with names, icons, reputations... Beckham was the same... just living of '66 and the popularity/ money of the PL.

Should not have been an issue... we've been shoe-horning Rooney in to the team for years and he should have been picked alone on performances.

The thing I hate most is " we need his experience" .... his experiences have been under-performing in big tournaments and having to cut players to accomodate him in the team.

Was going to say something last night about the dimple game, but last time I asked Lady Hallamski about this, I was told off......, hauled over her knee, spanked hard with her yelling, "autocorrect, autocorrect!"

Or did I dream that. Can't remember..

Won't be going to Russia even if they offer us a freebie after our experience when England played in Moscow in 2007. That is without what took place in Marseille this summer.

Anyhow, sod the football now getting ready to go out to enjoy our last night in Ljubljana and a nice steak meal which hopefully be a lot better than anything served up on the pitch last night.
