Well new January signings dont look likely, not for any serious money anyway. Maybe a few loans or freebies. A 6.6 million loss and spent 16.75 million on wages.

Hopefully people will now understand a bit more why we aren't spending then.

perhaps some of our very well (over) paid players could take a 20% pay cut until they start performing with some consistency likely to get this Club back into the top 6.
No, I thought not !

Good heavens! Lots of Ferraris on e-Bay, or swaps for high-end Skodas! Thinking about it, I think MM drives a Ferrari - pity his team can't quite match it's performance. So, back to Skodas, I guess!hallamblue wrote:perhaps some of our very well (over) paid players could take a 20% pay cut until they start performing with some consistency likely to get this Club back into the top 6.

High end Skodas? Sounds like a tribe from the Arctic.

That's pretty sobering.
That will surely reinforce the mantra of " be thankful of what you've already got" and "be careful what you wish for".
Finances aside ... with the squad we've got -we still should be doing better or at least strive to be better.
I'm sure some of the Mings money went on improved contracts after the play-off season. I bet the players who got the best contracts were Murphy, Skuse, Chambers, Berra, Didsy. Not sure we got value for money if this is the case.
Have to be shrewd in the transfer / loan market then ... more Mings, Webster .. and less deadwoood brought in. We've also got the young home-grown players we need to bring through properly ... not the odd game here and there.
