Going to stand up for a fellow countryman and say, he's working in Norfolk for f*ck sake. I think if I had to apply my trade in feckin No'F*ck, my standard of workmanship would decline due to phases of deep depression. Advice would be, pack up and get the Fk outta there, Alex...... You're better than that Shyte.

You are probably right. You'll hate me saying this (you of all the NCFC haters) but Norwich were arguably too big a task for him. I mean he went to the club on the strength of Hamilton making the SPL by beating Hibs........., Hibs were absolute rubbish that season so it wasn't a massive accomplishment. But I actually like his borderline arrogance, and he'll have a very good career in football.

No disrespect intended to the Scottish division, but I think it would be a massive step up for an inexperienced manager.
Scum are probably the least amiable club for him to have joined with their hire and fire history. If anything he'd have a far better chance of support and being given time at ITFC, who as we all know , tend to hold onto their managers, some would argue , for far too long!

You are not disrespecting the Scottish leagues, Hallam......., it's very much an acquired taste, but it is essentially utter crap. Especially that play-off final between Hamilton and Hibs. I think I posted on here when he was appointed, something along the lines of, "Good luck to him, (not too much luck) but massive step up, and quite shocked he landed the job."
We've (my buddies) have had this discussion a few times regarding the Scottish managers....., Alex Neil being newly added to the equation, but Lambert failing at Villa, Freedman at Forest, Davie Moyes and a few others; it makes us realise just how brilliant a manager Sir Alex Ferguson really was at Man Utd.

Is this about NCFC fickle fans or crap Scottish managers?
I'm not an Alex Neill fan.... love it when they lose and there's a bit of a kerfuffle there.
On the other hand, he took over and got them promotion within 6 months. That's a massive thing. Doesn't matter he had a good squad... he did it.
They've been relegated and NCFC have comparatively heaps of cash from parachute payments and they are in a not too bad situation. If AN goes .... they have a decent squad and just a little bit too make up to get in top six.
You get that team up to the PL ..and even if you're relegated.. you have a decent opportunity with the PL cash to get yourself back up again.
NCFC might be smart and offload AN and get another manager who might sprinkle a bit of magic dust for 6 months and get them promoted. That's all they want. AN did that and that makes him no failure. NCFC might be incredibly stupid and get a NCFC legend like Gunn or Adams to take over again ( would love Huckerby or Evans ) and truly f*ck it up.
Love seeing NCFC have a bit of a crisis (but I'm sure they'll finish above us) , but getting in managers on short-term deals is the norm now. 2 years at a club is not a failure. For the owner its knowing when the magic dust has gone flat and getting someone in who can lift the team. Our manager still thinks he has the magic dust and our owner doesn't give a sh*t.
I kind of think there's probably been a decent amount of Scottish managers comparative to Englush managers (seeing as there's a lot less of them) who've done OK..... in the same time that they're decent players are few and far between.
I know we're supposed to have a bit of a laugh at NCFC, but I prefer to do it when we're on the up. Just feels we have other issues closer at home to deal with.

In short ... glad NCFC are on a horrendous run.... Let's not make it a smoke-screen for our shortcomings.

Re: Fickle f luck wits #ncfc#tinpotclub
Shortcomings???......SHORTCOMINGS!!!!
What do you mean Tang?
I'll have you know Mick is bringing in 3 quality players this Jan window. We will successfully out bid all comers for Lawrence's signature AND have a storming second half of the season, with Didsy top scorer on 23 goals and Pitman on 22 goals, causing a bloody sen sation in The Championship as we make 2nd place on the last day of the season, albeit 10 points behind Toon ( runaway Champions).
....And.....I haven't......had.....a bloody.....drop of sherbet tonight.
shut it marko.......I haven't.
