He won't. I will be more than surprised to see anyone coming to the club this January window. Maybe a loanee coming back from injury farmed out to us to get fit. Micks team is a shambolic reflection of himself, boring predicable and lacking in confidence.
I'm afraid that the writing is on the wall.

But the argument can go round and round and round........, Mevans does need to step up to the plate......, but, as has been said on these pages recently, you have the danger of doing a "Derby" from last season; bombing big time?
I personally believe Mick will survive the championship THIS season...... It'd be something unique to Mick himself should things go proper tits up this season....., but then it really needs to be tenure over. New guy in for next term.
Who knows......, maybe a new guy could get the existing numpties playing better football?
But is it worth the gamble before seasons end?
Who genuinely believes Mick will take Ipswich to league one? Let's see a poll!

Marko we are a couple of games Away from from the drop zone TWO GAMES mate. That's one week or 18 0 minutes or two post match interviews ie not a long time. I want Mick to be sacked but I know he won't be. Evans has his man in position who will do his utmost without funds and toes the party line.
Sad times ahead.

Regardless of how things are....... Just can't see this current run of form going......., I do believe Mick will grind out Championship safety, and I'd rather he stayed until May. But after that, a fresh start.
Got this horrible feeling that some proper clueless dickhead could possibly be appointed until seasons end and it all going wrong.

Take your point Marko and yes it is of the utmost importance we maintain our status this season. You fancy the job?

To be honest I can't see anyone wanting to come to Portman Road the way things are at the moment and if they do it will only be for the money.

Are you suggesting there's no point Evans wasting any money whilst McCarthy is still in charge, that surely would be suicide.
Has he been giving him any serious money to spend? I don't mean reckless spending. Just a moderate amount to improve the team??

I will be there next Saturday for the Blackburn game but unfortunately I don't think they will be giving me any money for it.

Town are reported to be ready to make a move for Wigan’s Northern Irish international striker Will Grigg and are also said to be keen on Aberdeen right-back Shay Logan.
According to The Sun on Sunday the Blues are keen on Grigg and are set to make an offer for the 25-year-old, who is contracted to the Latics until the summer of 2018.
Solihull-born Grigg was with the youth set-ups at Birmingham City and Solihull Moors before playing non-league senior football for Stratford Town.

The 5ft 11in tall striker broke into the Football League when Walsall signed him in 2008, before moving on to Brentford in 2013 and then, after a loan spell with the MK Dons in the 2014/15 season, Wigan in the summer of 2015 for fee reported to be £900,000.
The eight-times-capped Northern Ireland international scored 28 times for the Latics last season - 25 in the league - in 38 starts and five sub appearances in all competitions as they won the League One title and he won the third tier’s Golden Boot. This season he has scored seven goals in 20 starts and five sub appearances.
Grigg, whose song at Wigan went viral towards the end of last season, was a member of the Northern Ireland squad at the European Championships last summer but without making it on to the field.
Manchester-born Logan, 28, is a graduate of the Manchester City academy and had spells on loan with Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Stockport and Tranmere while with his hometown club.
The 5ft 8in tall right-back joined Brentford on a permanent basis in the summer of 2011, then moved on to Aberdeen initially on loan in 2014. Logan, who was linked with a move to Bolton in the summer, is contracted to the Dons until the end of June 2018.
The SPL side would reportedly accept a fee of around £200,000 for Logan.
Absolutely no chance of getting Will Grigg here, none at all. Logan sounds more our level, perhaps Marko can enlighten us as to this guys abilities ??

Theo Robinson from Lincoln would be worth a punt from the lower league . He scored a couple of crackers at the weekend I am told.

Can't speak for you football fans and the extent of your interest in EPL players......, while Hibs p*ss about the championship, I generally don't give a sh*t about the SPL.
But Aberdeen did come to Easter Road in the 2015 League Cup and were beaten 2-0. Shay Logan played, and the only thing I remember is Malonga easily getting past him to slot home for 2-0. That was late in the game, so maybe the lad was tired, but I do not remember anything special from him to write home about.

Someone on FB has posted a rumour he's picked up that we are close to agreeing a £800k plus add ons for Pompey's Chaplin.....and a Lloyd Isgove? from Saints for £600k whom we are favourites to sign as other clubs reportedly interested.
Honestly not sure how legit this all is. but does appear to be in our price range.......and I sod all about either player.

Conor Chaplin is 19YO and not long signed a new contract so who knows, I cant say I would see him as the answer to our issues. Isgrove I know sod all about either.

contracts aren't worth paper written on.....and he signed it in 2015 I think, 2yr deal......he's 29yrs in a months time and a striker...( wonder if Didsy is leaving?, not in squad for Lincoln game, not injured)...The other player is a 22 yr old Welsh international midfielder.......
think we're also being linked to some player called Messi got a year left on his contract, and wants a new challenge.

Chaplin signed a year extension a few weeks ago but as you rightly say it means sod all anyway. He just doesn't fit the MM experienced championship player description that we are supposed to be after.

Webster wasn't Championship experienced - and he's been the best buy we've had in the last couple of years. On the other hand - he was ready to move up a level or two and had more game time than Chaplin.
Can't help thinking if we could target a youngish player at a lower level who's ready to make that step then we could at least compete financially. Really can't see us affording a player like Grigg. Its a risk going for lower league players as you don't know what they'll be like at a higher level, but when it comes off its a very shrewd deal.
Really have no clue what we'll get this window at this moment - or what kind of commitment ME will show.

Why bother as ITFC has only peanuts to play with!!!!
and you know who to blame for that!!! (Evans)
his famous last words would be....make do with
what you have and get on with it.
