Has anyone noticed the obvious flaw in that list?
Most if not all require the absent one to shell out some dosh!
Still we can dream on for a couple more weeks can't we.

Re: January transfer window rumours.
TBH guys, normally I do try to get excited about the transfer windows, but this one I'm as excited as a sloth in a dark room!
ever since Evans has taken over I've seen hopes rise only to be dashed at the end with either no signings or loan signings that mean nothing IE : J Williams at the start of the season.
I like Jonny I really do, but why sign a guy that's not gonna play(unless he's out of contract at the end of the season, and you want to talk him into signing on a permanent deal at the end of his contract, which could be possible I suppose)
I've not been excited about a player since........................ Well I can't remember.
I know there's FFP now, and I understand that, but come on at least get 1 signing that's gonna say "this is where we're heading"
Sorry if this isn't the right place, but it is about transfers so I thought it'd be ok
So here's to the signings(if we get any) may they show the way to the rest of the team, and earn us something!

They appear to.have a few superstars about to. jump ship as the PL boys come in for their better players. Rats and sinking ship springs to mind

I like the look of the player, but IF Brighton or Forest want him I think they will get him. We wont be able to compete on the money front although could offer the prospect of playing regularly which might not be the case at the others (especially Brighton)K L Blue wrote:Seems we could be in for this guy!

I'm afraid that the writing is on the wall.

it's also stayed on sky news that the player wanted to stay at PNE. Fair enuff, move on. He's. not actually that good by all accounts. I doubt we will find anyone on permanent deal - it would cost a fortune in these inflated prices.

The PNE fans seem amazed we offered so much...and amazed that they turned it down. Strong, physical, works hard, holds the ball up,..... can't score, bit of a donkey. Not sure we need that.

Agree - move on, might be a fortunate miss! Believe MM's top target remain Rotherham's D Ward. But of course as soon as interest becomes known, with others apparently also in the mix, the price instantly heads north: - and we know ME/MM's policy on paying both inflated fees, and associated wages. It then becomes a fine balance, when trying to attract better quality players to the club, between being prudent and meeting the going rate. Certainly, however, don't want to pay over the odds for someone who is no better than what we have; or doesn't improve quality in key areas.

I thought at the time Hallam first mentioned him what a bloody donkey to be going after !!! Thank god it looks like a non starter. We can forget Ward too unfortunately.

It will be another false dawn anyway , all we will end up with is another loanee player/s on recall.

I honestly don't think we could afford God's signing on fee marko !! Mind you we'd end up with a helluva following wouldn't we.
Would he be our next GK though , since he's renowned for "saving"?

Re: January transfer window rumours.
First up, Conor Chaplin of Portsmouth. He has come highly recommended via Adam Webster (who came from Portsmouth in the summer) . As I understand it, Ipswich are close to agreeing a £800k (plus add ons) deal for Chaplin, and he could be signed in time for Ipswich's next league game, which is at home to Blackburn on the 14th January.
Secondly, Ipswich are also trying to sign Lloyd Isgrove from SOuthampton on a permanent deal. A fee of around £600k is close to being agreed, although there are several clubs interested in Isgrove, Ipswich are the favourites to land him.
jUst something i picked up on a rumour site. Im still of the opinion that we will bring "Jack Schitt" in this window as Evans does not give a flying one about us so long as he can write loses off for his companies.

All these names being mentioned are nothing more than a smokescreen, at the end of the window we will have not gotten anyone in, but MM etc will be saying "yes but you saw us trying to sign players" and blame everyone else for it!

Jay Tabb would win a damn sight more headers and tackles than some I could name.

Well he's got the Championship experience that Mick says he wanted - with Yeovil in 2013
Unfortunately, he's headed back to non-league since where it doesn't appear he's done much.
Can't get excited with this one..... completely uninspiring signing. Lovely to be proved wrong, but surely if this guy was any good he would have been playing in League 1 or 2 for the last 2-3 seasons.
