we suffered mostly due to the collapse of the tv money . We caught it at the wrong time , having just been relegated, with a large , more expensive squad. In fact I blame our entry into Europe that season based on that daft Fair play League we "won"

Ramsey has a league championship honor to his name, but Robson is arguably the greatest manager ever installed at this club. Assembled a number of great teams during his tenure and seems astounding 35 years on we came so close to a unique treble achievement. Can't give the individual enough plaudits, he was immense.
