Royle is the director of football at Everton, isn't he? I doubt he'll want to send anymore youngsters our way since MM couldn't find a spot for Connor Grant in the first team...why bother?bluemike wrote:Well some of the kids that did play look the part for sure.jeremy rusher wrote:bluemike wrote:I thought Everton were superb today, not seen a more enjoyable team to watch all season, in Tom Davies they have found a real star, what a superb performance from him.
Maybe we should look at some of Everton,s young players and the squad players not getting a game. There is a surplus of good players there.
So, WHEN will Mick get the heave ho?

Some moves dont work out, the fact Conor Grant is now at Doncaster says it all.

Like most on here I don't see Mick leaving this season or for that matter next. The signs are that ME is ready to invest more in transfer fees and whilst Jan is always a bad time to do business, next Summer might be interesting indeed.
Also this 3-5-2 system looks pleasing on the eye (one of ME's 5 point plan right?) and recent purchases suggest that MM continues to bring in promising players from the lower leagues with the intention of using his and TC's highly rated coaching skills to make regular transfer profits.
Yes, the club is clearly not going to break FFP rules and spend silly money in a one-off bid to get to the PL, but as a business I would say that the ME/MM management team is working pretty well for the owner. If 3-5-2 means that it starts to work better for the fans too I think all this Mick out talk will soon be forgotten.

Not a chance, the club doesn't view cup competitions as anything of relevance or priority - as was witness once again this night.TODD66 wrote:In the morning perhaps!
Relegation may do it, that may just be the breaking point in allowing our sorry-as* manager to quit or be forced out.
Right now, regardless of results he's Marcus Evans blue eyed cherubim and even following this latest disaster (it) will keep him in position for another week, another game.
Can't even be bothered to hear his excuses - sorry, analysis - of the game after today's latest setback.
