I've said that for ages. We just don't move. Sears does. After Saturday I'd have played him. He looked sharp.tangfastic wrote:Comment on BBC : 37th : grant ward is trying to make something happen, but gives possession away... because no-one else wants the ball. Agree. That's what we do. Set the bar low, Mick.

Yes you're right the team is more defensive than first viewed. Why the f*ck is McCarthy deploying this manner of line-up for a game against this level of opposition ?
Then again, ask a stupid question, it's Mick McCarthy selecting the squad..
The first half wasn't up to much. Gerken made a great save towards the end and in fact they've appeared more dangerous than ourselves. I wouldn't be surprised to see the whole event go to extra time and spot kicks - and it will, if McCarthy has his way.
Would like to be in the half time team talk to listen in on what is being discussed right now.
This is Lincoln City for heavens sake, get your acts together out there and win the damn tie.

I don't think it will be an issue Marko, it's just that occasionally I read comments suggesting it would be a good thing if it happened. I think tonight's game highlights how difficult it could be to get promoted again.

Nah , normally we are worse!! And people wonder why the attendance at PR are dropping. Maybe now the whole world can see how bad we are Marcus Evens may put some cash forward to buy some decent players, but first of all get a decent manager. On paper we have a half decent squad so MM needs to stop with the post match bull and stand accountable.TODD66 wrote:Blinding save by Gerks and a goal kick given!
Poor play, take it this is the way we usually play?

I can see us winning this.... only because Lincoln will run out of puff.
Appalling first half. Lacking in any kind of ambition. Even the line-up.
If it's like this With 10 mins to go ... . I'm supporting Lincoln. f*ck it.

Why didn't Amuse have a shot instead of passing it on our? There is fear in this team of making a mistake - that has to be down to the manager or is it also the fault of the fans-myself included.

If it was any team other than Ipswich this f**king telly would have been switched over about an hour ago. Pity the poor 1100 travelling fans with a 2hr drive home.
I can't believe the BBC's viewing stats are looking too good tonight.

Our best hope is that we have higher fitness levels and Lincoln tire and run out of steam.
I certainly don't want it to go to penalties.

All the other five replays have goals, I blame the BBC for picking this crap game.

Saw Josh Carson playing a while back for semi pro team Linfield in Northern Irish League. Subbed off
All effort no brain nor skill yet at one time was rated by a lot of posters on these sites.
We really have been on the spiral down the plughole the last 4-5 years. Now can barely compete against Lincoln. Who says we will not be in a relegation battle
