Re: Rumor Mill 2017/18
Isgrove would be decent, I was not sure when mentioned last season but anyone coming through one of the best acadamies in the country must have something about him and at our level would be decent, not costing anything too has to be of interest.

Re: Rumor Mill 2017/18
Joe Ledley for sure after AylesburyBlue gave me the heads up on him, No to any of the others, would have said yes to Kightly but now we have Celina and possibly interested in Isgrove that's a no too.

Re: Rumor Mill 2017/18
No Tunicliffe for me.
Fulham didn't want him..... only 8 games for Wigan on loan to a relegated team....seems like a player who's Man U pedigree is fading fast.
He's League 1. We can do better.

I was quite looking forward to a disruptive c*ck coming here, Must beat some of the fannies Mick has signed over the 4 years, But it looks like the pennies finally dropped with ME, after seeing the gates dropping like a lead balloon.

Good morning marks. Bet you chocked on yer cornflakes reading that. Sorry but we most definitely linked with KL. I'm not that enthralled tbh . His club form , whoever he has played for is below average imo. But McCarthy likes a big target man with physical presence in his teams, and he's free. However he seems to have a lot about him off the pitch too, which makes me question why we'd even consider him at Ipswich. But I also read he was linked with several Scottish clubs. Seems me n you will be hopeing he avoids our respective patches. Enjoy ya Kellogg's x

Re: Rumor Mill 2017/18
Given he's an Irishman I'd guess it's odds on he'll find his way to Ipswich. Whilst I've never been a fan of him his 6'4" height could be useful up front with either Sears or McGoldrick or both alongside him.

Re: Rumor Mill 2017/18
Big no thank you to Lafferty and Tunnicliffe. Neither have pulled up trees wherever they have been and I don't see why we would want them. Even on a budget there has to be better players than that around!
The Man City winger sounds promising, Garner has potential to be OK (although the jury is out on that one for me) but we need some spark in the middle of the pitch. Im wondering what is happening with Huws? I hope we sign him but the longer it goes on the less likely that is. He did say he wanted to stay so I was hopeful we could get something done on that front. I wouldn't be happy to miss out on him and get Tunnicliffe instead because hes cheaper, that will get us nowhere...

It's not only being associated with both an ex-Glasgow Rangers and Norwich City employee, but the kid's hardly made an impact at any club he's featured at. Hope this signing / rumor doesn't come to pass, seems someone views the player as something as a solution or key individual that could propel us to new heights, but for fucks sake how many supporters can even envisage an acquisition such as this providing a necessary improvement.

I defo couldn't play upfront anymore, But lay me down in front of the goal, and we'd never concede a goal all seasonhallamblue wrote:I'd defo rather sign you KLB ha ha

Re: Rumor Mill 2017/18
Not sure what to make of KL link to be honest. People keep saying that he's never really been a great success at any of his clubs but he still keeps getting picked for NI and doing well for them. He looks a real handful to me and maybe his game is partly about creating chances for those around him? Are we evaluating him correctly?
Can't speak about his off the pitch adventures since I'm not aware of them. Is there a particular reason why he is considered disruptive?

Really depends if you have a "win at ALL costs" attitude. This type of thing isn't just isolated to one incident with the guy. He's a "faller", brush against him and he's on the deck rolling about clutching legs, face etc. He even done it 3 or 4 games ago playing for NI but I can't find that on YouTube.
Think I posted it on here either last season or season before........, Jason Cummings tried it and he received plenty of verbal abuse ----->>> from HIBS fans. No time for it whatsoever, and you just never know witn Lafferty when he's going to start his antics.
I wonder if the a$$hole ever apologised to Mulgrew. Probably not.

Re: Rumor Mill 2017/18
Did he ? I thought it was the dream move syndrome ? Either way I don't see him returning here although I would not have a problem with given that we are supposedly linked with Lafferty who may well be younger but for me it is a no brainer as to who is the better player.

Re: Rumor Mill 2017/18
Strange situation with Lafferty, seems to play well for NI in Internationals, but falls short on home club performances, he's brave enough in and around the box, but seems to fail in his overall style of play, perhaps Mick could get him working similar to Murphy???

Re: Rumor Mill 2017/18
He may well do a job and be just what we are missing but the off pitch issues are a concern as is the fact he doesn't perform at club level. If we do sign him he will get my FULL support, it has to be that way.

Boyce gone to Burton. Should have gone for him rather than Lafferty or Garner.
