Disappointing but not surprising.

Town boss Mick McCarthy says there will have to be players leaving his squad before he can make too many more additions.

Not sure how easy it will be to offload some of our very average players, this could be a bit of a show stopper.

I think he is mainly talking about Pitman & Bru which makes sense as they are probably decent earners, especially Pitman, although if I am honest I still think players will come in irrespective.

I'm hoping we get a half-stupid offer for Didsy and we take it.

He had a good end to the season and there could be takers, but his fitness will always be a concern.
30 year old as well.
Love to see him fit and on fine form for us, but for how long?

A younger, more resilient replacement who can last a season could be good business for us.

Ive never been a big fan of Didsy but his ability has never been in question, as you say it's his fitness which is of concern, however based on what I saw over the second half of the season I thought he was really good for the most part and if we knew he was to keep fit I would like to see him stay here.

In my opinion we always look more threatening with Didsy playing, I'd only want to see him leave if we acquire an equal or better player which wouldn't be easy to achieve with our limited budget.

Arguably the most technically gifted player we have: we should always aim to retain our best players. Who would we replace him with, and for how much?

Hopefully his spell of injuries is history and, unless a really silly bid comes in (unlikely now), he should see his existing contract out with us. No indication that the player himself is seeking to quit.
