Gerken's Contract Extended

Lost in the euphoria of the EH news, but DG has signed a further contract extension through until 2019. No doubt will provoke mixed responses; but it doesn't necessarily means that Bart's departure is inevitable. (Or does it?)

My opinion should arguably be null & void........ From what I've witnessed, maybe 5 full games..... Good shot stopper, absolute flapper at corners.

Nice enough bloke but league one keeper at best. Why extend his contract if barts staying. If barts going then gerkin is not the answer for our keeper.

I'm pleased about this, a competent keeper in most departments, Bart is the better shot stopper by far but as Hallam says nothing between them in all other areas.

Not disappointed with this, a solid keeper who rarely lets the side down when called upon. In my opinion a good professional player.

Well........, can only say that if (IF) he becomes the ITFC number 1 keeper, that the SKY games are few and far between. He's ropey on the telly.

I can't see him being anything other than a back up keeper Marko and in this role I think he's as good as it gets at this level.
