Have we moved into the old highbury ground?? Crowd very quiet. Connolly looks decent as does mcgoldrick but hate to see him out wide. Hes still very selfish, he had a shot shortly after the horrendous tackle on him, if he had squared it it was 1 nil

Mcgoldrick now decides after playing well for 45 minuts after that tackle that he cant go on. Maybe its too cold for him....bless

I’m guessing it’s one of those injuries that gets worse when you stop running.?

Clueless from Freddie Sears at one end, and p*ss poor defending from Jordon Spence at the other and bang, potential 2-0 turns into 1-1 ...bollocks !

.... absolutely, as a defender you can’t take your eye off the ball and wave your arms around, all he needed to do was head it into touch for a corner, simple as that.

For all McCarthy’s faults Garner and Waghorn must be two of the best signings in The Championship this season.

Just goes to show how unimportant possesssion is, currently 31% v 69%...
Shame to see Waghorn taken off, hope we don’t sit back and try to defend this lead for the final 10 mins.

I thought he was having a pretty decent game until he gave away the penalty, that was pretty unnecessary I must say.
Did you miss Spence’s flick on for Garner’s goal ?

Well you’re gonna be disappointed, I thought his comments were spot on, maybe he’s learning at long last ?

The fault for the equaliser is Freddie Sears. If had gone to the corner flag instead of coming back inside and losing possession, then they break and score. He is a complete tw*t and has cot his team mates.I hope MM gives him a right bollocking not that helps now.

The only thing im dissapointed about is ipswich cant see games out when ahead. Ok we have won the most points from losing positiin but jesus when are we going to start putting games to bed instead if scraping over the line or dropping points.Charnwood wrote:ipswichtownNo1 wrote:Well now looking forward to mm bigging up sheffield on national tv

That is not right. Sears passed it back to garner who tries to chio it forward. The ball falls to sears and he has nowhere to go

I couldn’t agree with you more, that said on balance Wednesday probably deserved a share of the spoils. Overall I thought we played quite well and it was one of the best performances I’ve seen from Town on a televised game for a while. I don’t think we can criticise the tactics on the night and i’m sure everyone linked with a Town will be disappointed we didn’t hold onto all three points.

To be fair they did say he had a gashed 'Gentlemens Area' so he probably did well to get through the first half.Charnwood wrote:ipswichtownNo1 wrote:Mcgoldrick now decides after playing well for 45 minuts after that tackle that he cant go on. Maybe its too cold for him....bless

You just knew as soon as they said the fella hadn't scored in 42 games............................!!!
Thought we played quite well. As others have said - no idea where 5 minutes came from, but as soon as the ball was lost I just had a feeling it was all going to go pear shaped.

Re: Ipswich vs Sheffield Wednesday Preview & Matchday Thread
Absolutely gutted, i thought we played well and deserved to win comfortably, several chances but just couldnt finish well enough. Derick is spot on, f**king Sears cost us the win tonite, he is woeful. Disagree that Spence was poor, I thought he did ok until the hash up for the penalty, he got yet another assist for the first. For me Garner, Webster, Skuse and Connolly all had decent games. As disappointing as it is I don't think we are far away from being a decent side.
