Re: Who said that?
Conversation on Sky about ten years ago...... no idea who the reporter was, but who was the manager.
Reporter: Well. Another defeat there (insert managers first name). What are your thoughts.
Manager: My thoughts are, we outplayed them and we were the best team on the park.
Reporter: Really?
Manager: Naw. I just made all that up.

Holloway would have been my first instinct but if not then Redknapp. He was Portsmouth team coach around that time if memory serves, it was worth an attempt.

Re: Who said that?
International of where would be useful. Thought about Hodgson but don't remember any involvement with South Coast employers. Maybe Gordon Strachan, I know he was with Southampton and managed the Scots for a time but in truth this is far from a correct response.

You see? The country was NOT useful to you because you then carried out what a quiz is really all about———> Thinking.saint jude wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 4:50 pmInternational of where would be useful. Correct. Gordon Strachan. Guy is flippin hilarious.
Another Strachan quote:
Reporter: Where do you think changes need made Gordon?
GS: On that big rectangular grassy bit out there.

I would have liked to have seen Strachan manage here at some point in time. In any event let's not waste time.

Re: Who said that?
Let's make this as quick as able, it is not Jack Charlton.
On the right track but the answer is not as easy as you may first envisage. Yes it relates to a World Cup event between the teams involved. Further pointers if required when time permits itself.

No to Keane and McCarthy. Two individuals we need not see on these pages.
The one in question isn't believe Irish born and probably won every domestic honor there is in the game. One or two European highlights also.

As the administrator of this thread, I’m gonna have to deduct 3 points from Saint. His quotes are way too nebulous.

never doubted it for a moment,
my excuse I've been off work convalescing for a couple of weeks and gone mad, well even more than before, my big return today was called off as all race meetings were cancelled in the UK.
