Although my boyish good looks suggest I am younger, I am 57 later this year...

I'll meet you for a smoke behind the bike sheds, Ashford to explain that Orwell High used to be Felixstowe Middle school - Maidstone Road.

I'll have to look that up Wilf, fook me its been Nye on 70 years ago since I left Felixstowe as a Kid

1951when we moved to Kent, and things change a lot over the years, I mean the container dock wasn't built or thought about, the Ipswich to Felixstowe steam train station was still in use up by the old Orwell Hotel in Hamilton Road, Bus station was down at the Ordinance corner just off the start of Langer Road, spent hours with the gang in Mannings fun park, blimey I could fill this page with the 40's nostalgia times

Wasnโt that Tammy Wynette.... not Dolly.
Which is suitable for a Chambo thread as this club has stood by their man and paid for his annexe.

I see Chamboโs won Player of the Year.
Canโt knock his passion and effort, but thought Pennington or CHalobah were more deserving. If Judge had been here longer he probably would have got it. Shouldnโt matter as relegation overrides everything. I guess this was a vote from the heart for many... but weโve hardly many candidates sticking their hands up this year.
If weโre looking for positives, then Chambers has kept the spirit going within the dressing room. This season could have destroyed players and their careers, but still seeing spirit from the team when weโve been under the cosh all season. Terrible first half yesterday, but came out second half and really gave it a go. Best way to reward the great support is to take that spirit and unity into next season and hit the ground running.

I think everyone knows my feelings on Chambo well enough by now and while I am pleased the fans have recognised the captain I think we are all sensible enough to know he has not been the best player by any means, that said I am not keen to see a loanee win it either even if Chalobah or Pennington would have been my choice had I voted, I think Chambo himself summed it up perfectly last night when he said he didn't think anyone particularly deserved an award after this torrid season, as honest as ever but for his commitment to Town and the way he holds it all together behind the scenes there is nobody more deserving for sure.

Spot on, Mike. Chambo is t the best player , but neither is the load of crap some fans scapegoat him as. I watched him yesterday . He was chasing everything. He puts his body on the line for this team and had done all season- often playing with broken bones and other injuries when some players at this Club have been happy to โsit it out โ and take the money .
I hope Chambo gets the chance to lead his team back to the Championship this time next year. He deserves that much.

I think one of the fans who have suffered this season should get the award, so I am nominating either BM or Shed

Few years ago Jimmy Bullard won player of the season after only joining in on loan from Wigan of January of that year.
Few eyebrows were raised. I agree with comments made about Chambo, gives it his all and the pen he conceded last Sunday people around me and including myself thought it was a penalty but not seen too much about Leeds second goal which we thought he pushed the ball in with his hand. Even the player crossing it looked off side or very close to being off side.
Anyway pleased Chambers won it and one thought, Maybe he is not our best player but says a lot about the rest of them who didn't win it.
Glad season is over
