Can’t believe Edinburgh (L2) went to Arbroath (L1) tonight in the Challenge Cup and hammered them. That’s a fairly standard strength Arbroath team who are leading the way in L1.
Like you mentioned the other week, Mike, Edin City are looking good this season.

I think you knew he’d be a great player this season.
What about:
“Can’t help but sing the blues
When the loon-a-tics win
And the Brechin lose...
fawwww far, you got us singin the blues!”

I watched the highlights of last weeks win over Raith and he was superb, not bad for an assistant manager/player.

Re: MARKO ....... You never even mentioned this last week LOL
The guy completely slipped my mind and I didn’t recall him ever starting for Hibs. So I googled. Seems the Jambos gave him game time. He obviously played against Hibs in that championship season but really, to be honest, no recollection of the guy.
Looks like he’s got experience though and that’ll be valuable to Forfar for the Play-Off push.

Away from home as well! Bit of a coupon burster for some people. 3/1 the Loons were. Great win.
Brechin beating Raith was also a strange one. Expected Raith to at least get the draw.

Re: MARKO ....... You never even mentioned this last week LOL
And I’m sure if he’d stayed at ICT, there would’ve been no need for that Highland derby replay next week. Very good player.
Play off push continues 18 miles along the road v The Gable Endies this weekend. They recently annihilated Brechin but the result v Stenny last week was a little bit surprising. They could be up for it this weekend. Bairdy needs to be on song.

Re: MARKO ....... You never even mentioned this last week LOL
Scottish League One never ceases to throw up the accumulator damage eh? Can probably blame the 185 mile trip for the Arbroath players. Loons @ Airdrie? Were they expected to win? I'm thinking if they want to stay with the team they beat last week, (Raith) then they need to be taking 3pts at places like the Excelsior.

Re: MARKO ....... You never even mentioned this last week LOL
I thought we would get something today for sure but Airdrie weren't that far above the danger zone so it was no gimme, given the excellent run we have been on I'll let them off today. Arbroath are definitely running out of steam but are too far ahead for it to matter. Hopefully we'll beat them next week, if we do it will be Eight successive home wins.

Re: MARKO ....... You never even mentioned this last week LOL
Is this just restricted to the twilight world of Scottish soccer, or are more established teams allowed a feature.
Point being, Celtic can take a huge stride towards another SPL Championship tomorrow with a win in the east end of Glasgow and while victory over rat b*stard Gerrard would be pleasing, got to say there continues to be little in the way of challenge in the elite division. What happened to Kilmarnock anyhow, thought for a time they could maybe make a surprise title run. (No league honor since 1965 if correct for those of an age to recall)

Yes, Forfar will be out to sort their own affairs, but what a VERY interesting day as the Loons play a part in that relegation battle. Brechin @ Stranraer, Stenny home to Loons.

Emphatic victory, looks like its Raith Rovers in the play offs which is tough but we've beaten them twice this season already !!

Re: MARKO ....... You never even mentioned this last week LOL
Arbroath v Raith on BBC ALBA tomorrow. I'm out all day but i'll set the TV machine thing to record that.
Yes, finishing runners up is such a bonus in the Scottish play-off system. Looking like Montrose for 4th but the Loons really do not want a two legged affair with them prior to Raith. Raith ONLY will do. Won't be placing bets but hoping the Smokesters put on a show for their fans as they'll be parading the trophy afterwards.
Tell you what, should the Loons progress, the championship Play -Off final will be something else. Forfar v Partick? Forfar v Falkirk? Massive games whatever happens.

Marko, aside from avoiding a Championship side in the PO Semi Final and getting away advantage first is there any other benefits of finishing second ?
