Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
The Nuttall deal seem unlikely. Everything seems to hinge on a striker coming in and the other club wanting Bart on a loan deal, which complicates things. I suppose Elliot’s fitness is the main concern and maybe over-shadowing Bart’s dodgy knee. Are we so keen to get rid of Bart and his wages that we’re ready to take on a half-fit player like Elliot? If he’s going to be more of a battering-ram than a goal-scorer - then fine, but I hope he’s fit and not another sick-note. At the moment, I’m wondering what the benefits of off-loading Harrison and getting Elliot in.BLUEBLOOD wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 12:53 amIf the Millwall deal falls through swap deal 2...Blackburn.

Can’t help but wander off the Nuttall story onto other EADT stories on the page....... two guys in a bike shop trying to cremate a mouse in a cardboard box and accidentally burning the shop down!
And then even funnier..... the ad just below the story...... “get your IQ tested”
Nice ad positioning by the EADT.

Will Norris is a nice lad. He played for my home town of Royston a few years back. He was outstanding at that level and a hard working honest guy. Will be good to press holy for the number 1 spotKerry Blue wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 11:58 amhttps://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-new ... liott-loan

Pleased that's sorted, Bart's been good for Town apart from last season I hope he does well and he's still our player.

Where's the centre backs PL? Unbelievable.
We have signed 3 goalkeepers a left back who he is going to play as a winger and Norwood.

Yes, after wiki’ing all the recent names, only Joe Nuttall would be appear to be decent for the League One campaign ahead. (opinion of course) ....... and of course if there is any chance of it.

We’ve had a look at two triallist centre-backs so we’re obviously intending to bring at least one in. Maybe the delay is because we’re looking at perhaps another option apart from those two.derick_ipsw wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 4:49 pmWhere's the centre backs PL? Unbelievable.

Whats the cut off day for signing somebody so they could play Saturday? I think we are waiting far to long to sign a Centre Back or 2.tangfastic wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 6:43 pmWe’ve had a look at two triallist centre-backs so we’re obviously intending to bring at least one in. Certainly cutting it fine. I would have thought we’d have done something by now if Saturday was the deadline. Might be able to do paperwork on Friday, but a bit much to ask a new player to go in without training with the team.derick_ipsw wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 2:28 pmWhats the cut off day for signing somebody so they could play Saturday? Good news is.... Chambo’s back second game. That’ll cheer you up.

Chambers has been invaluable to this club. I think he has been an awsome captain and good enough to maintain his place in the team - im also confident he will be one of league ones best defenders.
Bit if context for his less effective performances:

I know when I lost my mum to cancer it affected my day to day life for a long time, before, during and after. I think people should give the guy a bloody break and some respect. Top top captain and a good person, yes his performances weren't great last season but who's were !! At least he cares unlike that tw*t Knudsen, or Webster who couldn't wait to jump ship.

Very well said Mike. Always gives his best (which i appreciate for some will never be good enough). I am sure he felt embarrassed to receive his award at the end of last season as well as being the first to self-critique some of his performances!Bluemike wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 5:50 pmI know when I lost my mum to cancer it affected my day to day life for a long time, before, during and after. I think he has been a great club servant and i hope for one that he is offered a club role when he finally hangs up his boots.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
I know Chambo isn’t the quickest and was often caught out last season. He didn’t have his best season. But nor did “ internationals” Knudsen and Bart!
But out of all three players , Chambers remains the most valuable to the “ Club” as a whole and was worth a new contract for all the work and support he does day in day out behind the scenes .
I think he will have a good season this term and quite soon become more and more of a background influence at the Club than a regular 1st teamer. He has so much more to offer ITFC than just a centre half I think .

What, the volley ball from Cast Away ? Had to ascertain further information.Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 12:14 pmIt looks like Wilson is about to sign I hoped we would sign a much better experienced player.
no, this is a James Wilson, a name that is largely unfamiliar, who become involved after the Germany trip and participated in one or two pre-season events just recent. Got a medical lined up some time today and expected to be part of the squad for the Burton opener. As we got deficiencies in defense right now, wouldn't be surprised to see it involved on the first week.
Seems has the experience but another player prone to injury and time on the inactive roster. Be a gamble, but hopefully a justified one.
