Apologies not to have responded to the earlier messages. Was travelling back to Krakow all day yesterday.

Had a fantastic night in Roma as you can imagine. You all saw the game and could see how much in control we were throughout with Luke Shaw impressing for me in particular.

No issues getting in the stadium Charny, thanks for the concern, nobody was interested in anything other than the ticket, ID and negative PCR. Bloody nice stadium it is too with all those Roman statues and the aromatic Roman pines as background on the way in.

Somebody mentioned that there were more Ukr fans than England upthread. Nope, they had one corner and we ruled pretty much the rest of the ground and it was pretty much non-stop singing. The players and manager were out on the pitch long after the whistle thanking the fans who had come from far and wide and spent shedloads (sorry Shed ) of cash to get there. Lots of good natured mixing too which is always nice.

Even better the walk back to the hotel on a warm Summer night took us through a fantastic bar area which was absolutely packed with fine local specimens. I sat with my mate (who had travelled from Riga) and took in the scenery until the early hours. It felt like years since it was possible to be out in a crowd like that, probably because it has been.

Great night. Only wish it would be possible to travel for the semi but then I'm sure zero chance to get a ticket anyway. Probably wouldn't have been able to get one for Rome but for the pandemic.

I don't see any reason why we can't go all the way. There are only good teams left now, but we are one of them

Would be happy to volunteer, if it wasn't sadly impossible to escape quarantine.

I'm confident for tomorrow night. I expect the Danes will press hard and strong to try to put us out of our stride, but the longer the game goes on, as long as we don't concede, the more likely we are to win IMO.

Great stuff. Was she in Taormina? Amazing place. I want to retire to there but the Mrs prefers Amalfi area, Conca de Marini in particular. Different way of life over there. Much better.

short story, this Sicilian boyfriend had a bit of a gob, got a phone call from daughter saying he was giving it the big en in this pub in town, and could i drive down there and pick them up. when i got there he was surrounded by this mob outside in the street, luckily enough i knew most of this crew and stopped him getting a beating, Anyway next thing his Mum, Dad, Bro's, Cousin's and every other relation of his in this country came round mine saying if i was ever in trouble call on them, as if they were the mafia, she kicked him out in the end thank god, what a total waste of space,

Think Italy looked a bit off the pace first half, but a lot of that is to Spain's credit. I think Spinazzola being out is a massive loss to the Italians.
