The vehicles are more expensive; the appeal was cheaper fuel. The way electricity prices have gone, there odd no saving. I’d like to go electric but my best hope is a hybrid - I need to pull a caravan and I’m not sure an electric will do it.Charnwood wrote: ↑Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:55 pmAll electric cars are still only circa 10% of the market here Marko and was much less when I bought my current car new nearly 3 years ago. I think I’m just about ready to go rechargeable hybrid but still a long way off going all electric. Has anyone gone all electric ?

I went electric for all of 7 months and then changed to hybrid. Fact is that despite all the hype, the infrastructure for long journeys is just not in place yet and it is a real issue that the powers that be are not telling people. Its Ok for them - they all live in London! Crazy thing is however, I was paid £7k more for it when I sold it 7 months after I bought it! The world has indeed gone mad...

Hell no, as a car guy it’s not for me, I’ve driven a Tesla and it’s a good product but utterly soulless.
I’ve bought a v8 AMG before they die out and I regret it! I don’t do big miles so mpg isn’t a concern really, and I measure this in smiles per gallon!
