Romance of the cup! Must be a TV choice. Some other tasty ties which, if we progress, will reduce some of the big boys in 5th round. Rejuvenated our love of the competition!

Happy with that.
If only I could predict results with such accuracy!!
Mike's Sheffield Wednesday prediction had me worried for a moment when they popped out of the bag at home!

Re: FA Cup - 4th Round Draw
I thought exactly the same Todd , but of course I’m far happier with your prediction coming true.
At least the way the draw panned out we’re guaranteed to have at least 6 non Premier League teams in the last 16.

Re: FA Cup - 4th Round Draw
I can’t believe how seriously some of the Premier League teams are taking the FA Cup this year. I mean Manchester United have put out a full strength team away to Wigan tonight.

Should we get through (I never take anything for granted) I see the 5th round ties are scheduled for mid-week at the end of Feb. You can bet we will end up with the longest journey possible if drawn away.

I imagine it’s because it’s a weekend round of fixtures helps, ie not as squeezed in as the next round.
Also some managers are under pressure and want to get morale boosting wins etc.

Yea and 3 days later we play Plymouth Argyle away so it’s bound to be the Northern most outpost away on Wednesday 28th Feb. What odds Newcastle United away. O’ooops that’s being somewhat presumptuous and maybe a little disrespectful to Maidstone United. Apologies to them.

Re: FA Cup - 4th Round Draw
In my opinion, the FA Cup is the most revered tournament in the history of football. Most of the indifference for the competition comes from foreign ownership and management. Just a wild thought, but can you imagine the positive effect of ITFC winning the cup…again! Hell, reaching the final would be a huge accomplishment even if we lost. What are the odds on us winning the Cup?

Re: FA Cup - 4th Round Draw
Could well have been the highlight of someone's day but first thought, that's us through, we're going to make it. Just about a free pass to the Fifth Round, with all due respect to the opposition involved.
We couldn't have picked out a more favorable draw if tried. Romantics and neutrals can forget any idea of them winning, no chance in hell we can mess this up. Wonder what team and formation McKenna may deploy for it. Good opportunity to experiment here with really nothing to lose.

Our cup game against Maidstone, hardly surprisingly, is going to be televised live on BBC One, 12.30 on Saturday 27th.

Re: FA Cup - 4th Round Draw
Another Saturday golf comp f*cked up by a changed kick off time for bloody television. I’m getting fed up with this and preferred it when they weren’t interested in our games.

But not Sky this time.
Just goes to show it's wrong to blame Sky for moving Saturday fixtures from 3pm, it's wrong to blame BBC, and it's wrong to blame ITV. It's the FA that's to blame - they have no problem with selling Saturday games to the highest bidder, but they then insist that they cannot be played at a 3pm kick-off.

Re: FA Cup - 4th Round Draw
Why do you think the Football bodies don’t allow 3pm ko though?
