I see that Kieffer only had a bit part today against Liverpool came on in the 83rd minute what a waste sitting on the bench week in and week out, if Bournemouth have got any sympathy for Kieffer they will let him come to us sooner than later where he can get some game time

Just having a browse on owlstalk, they are not too happy by the sounds of all this talk about Johnson is true. Apparently a key member and their best crosser, all sounds to me if any truth behind it that Davis is on his way.
The 1M sounds a bit high but if Davis does move on it must be a good wedge more, that way help fund the new additions or help towards wages etc, only reason we would sell.
Think this week we will see what's going on, I'm hoping Davis stays put tbh and all this talk is dribble.

Apparently we’ve been linked with a 6”9’ Icelandic striker! He’s scored 39 times in 40 games in the Grindavik league! He’s a big lad and is just what KM ordered. Not sure on the contractual requirements, but porramatur could be key to getting him signed. He says he’d love to play for Bobby Robson. Ashton is working diligently to seal the deal. Stay tuned!

No, you've heard it wrong 9, he's from Iceland, not Icelandic! Big lad because he has employee discount and loves frozen goods. 39 goals in 40 games in their 5 a side league, not something to be overlooked.

He’s a very tall geyser! Blows a tad hot and cold - allegedly!

This was just posted on twtd ( I only look now lol)
Have been informed by a relative who works on the analysis team at Sampdoria that we have been looking at striker Manuel De Luca and talks are now at an advanced stage. He has a year and a half left on his contract but expect him to be able to leave for just under £1m.
At 6"4, he looks to be a good replacement/cover for George Hirst. Goalscoring record isn't anything to shout about but his work rate and hold up play is superb!

I saw that but just dismissed it as just rubbish but hope I'm wrong, it would be nice if around 6 pm we had a surprise signing of a centre forward, fingers crossed.

Yes we need someone ( two) in through the door asap. I reckon they’ll be an announcement tomorrow or Weds,( seems to take forever to get these deals done these days)

Josh Stokes to Bristol City, rumoured £250k fee.
I think we were linked with him? Don’t need him but one for the future.

Googling him he doesn't look anything to rave about tbh, I just hope we don't sign someone just for the sake of it cus some of these links are terribly uninspiring

I honestly don’t think we’d sign anyone just for the sake of it. Unlike the situation at Sunderland where the Director of Football makes all the decisions relating to the team, including acquisitions, sales, team selection, even who’s on the bench, I don’t see that at Portman Road and can’t imagine anyone coming in who Keiron McKenna hasn’t signed off and thinks he can do something with or already fits with what he’s looking for.

I just don’t see an overseas player coming in mid way through the season when they’ll have no experience of the game in this country. We need a player(s) able to hit the ground running , literally.

Our last (only?) Italian import didn’t work out so well. If reports are accurate, then trust MA/KM to have done extensive homework on the Sampdoria lad, including risk v reward of recruiting from abroad. Could be an inspired move.
STOP PRESS! Player’s Wikipedia site showing that he ‘joined ITFC on 23 January, on loan until the end of the season’. Read into that what you will!

Question:
IF West Ham bid for Davis ( seems a possible rumour), would you want Cresswell back here? Have no idea how old he is … but could he do a job for us, or is thus why were after Weds’ Johnson?

Be very surprised if scouts are peeping there, Ashford. Sitting 2nd in the champ; probably not best to go L2 to sustain the push at this moment in time.

Think I made the same suggestion a week or so ago snd was told by Andy I think , that the player is getting a bit snd has never played higher than league two . So would be unlikely at that age to make that step up ….
