Wolves doing better second half ha ha goal WH.
I thought I would see what happens with a corner and they scored a soft goal.

Not so sure about him leaving, Liz - can you imagine any other PL club wanting him at the moment? I can't.hallamblue wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 4:57 pmI think they will do well under RVN…maybe he’s another potential manager to consider when McKenna eventually leaves, as he will surely do.

Wanted a Wolverhampton win, can't stand the opposition. Another loss for the London team would have pushed them down further, one step nearer a potential relegation. Find it tough to celebrate any victory they get whether it aids us or not. We're most likely going straight back to Championship level by end of season anyhow. Can't get the wins, too easily found out by opposition teams and not least a manager and #1 pick goalkeeper arguably struggling. One last time can't always rely on other teams to salvage a season.

Re: Other matches.
If he fails to keep us up , he’ll be more likely to leave I think ….. to a PL club though? I don’t reckon it’d be one of the big ones, because he’s not proved himself. It really is in his best interests to stay put and build something substantial here, which ever division we are in next season.rossi wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 1:27 amNot so sure about him leaving, Liz - can you imagine any other PL club wanting him at the moment? Re: Other matches.
I know they had most of the possession last night , but key decisions again went to the perceived bigger club. They were very lucky with some that went their way.arana peligrosa wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 4:45 amWanted a Wolverhampton win, can't stand the opposition. It’s looking like Leeds will be promoted, so at least we won’t have to play them next season.

Remember the annual song for them though…..
“Leeds, Leeds are falling apart again”!
They don’t look anything like the dude they were last season or the one before that.

Re: Other matches.
Crystal Palace and Southampton look set to lose tomorrow which will suit us greatly. The Russell coach or whatever his name is seems on borrowed time with the latter, the directors there can only tolerate so much. One, maybe two, three more losses and I'd expect him to vacate or be pushed from ship.
Looking forward to more setback for NCFC as they surely won't get beyond Burnley even with a home advantage. Some minor event in Glasgow you can't leave out also. All these things together, it's lining up to be something of a promising set of scores.

Re: Other matches.
Leeds cocked up again yesterday I see…….
Having watched them 2-3 times now this season, they are a shadow of the team that played in the previous two seasons. I don’t think they will be promoted this season. I think Burnley or Sunderland may well be in with a shout behind Sheffield Utd.

Re: Other matches.
The gulf between the EPL & Champ is so huge. These past couple of seasons seem to be highlighting it more. Burnley & Blades really poor in the EPL, but seem to be cruising in the Champ.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 10:10 amLeeds cocked up again yesterday I see…….

The answer must lie with what Nott’m Forest are doing. They’re the closest to recently being a mediocre Championship side.

But how many players did they buy and how many millions did they spend in their first season following promotion. They certainly didn’t do it within the FFP rules.

Re: Other matches.
Unbelievably, I have missed every single goal! Every time I’ve walked out of this sodding room, Spurs have scored?
HOW is Russell Martin still in a job at Southampton, how ? Not that I want him sacked, btw, he’s doing a sterling job!

Re: Other matches.
Spurs are the Premier League joint leading goalscorers equal with Chelsea with 36. It just shows how well we did to win there.

Any Celtic season these days is essentially shooting fish in a barrel but a trophy's a trophy. If it had been victory over St Johnstone or something in the end game it wouldn't have provided much interest but what you got here, six goal draw and eventual win over Rangers, one of the very best League Finals since 1987 in which the same score occurred and eventual shoot out. Strathclyde Law Enforcement were kept busy throughout.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 11:21 pmJust seen the result of Celtic vs Rangers. Bit of a cracker of a cup final there then!!

Southampton manager being fired was always going to occur. Whoever comes in may motivate them up the league and to eventual safety. Why the f*ck was Le Tissier never given the opportunity to try a hand there. Biggest club name they ever produced, would have backing of the fans whether he failed or succeeded.

Re: Other matches.
Matt Le Tissier way too wise & intelligent to get involved with football management.
