Bowditch on way out of Town should Lee sign!!

How much do you think he would be worth? Surely not £1M going on current form and why do West Ham keep up their interest in him now their in the Prem? What would Bowditch do for them if he isn't making the grade in the Championship?
I know Joe likes his strong men upfront and Deano is never going to fit that role but I feel since we have had the youngsters up front over the last couple of games, we have gone back to playing proper football. I can't see that continuing if Mr Alan Lee signs on.....

Bowditch has no future at Town, so sell him. I doubt very much a premiership club would be stupid enough to pay for him, but stranger things have happened - look at the donkeys we signed when we reached those dizzy heights.suffolk punch wrote:Read this:

Is it just me or does Bowditch have really good PR/agent?! Why would any prem team that has seen him in the 12 months be interested? And for £1M?
I read somewhere that Bowditch said he was "being made to look bad playing out of position" - maybe one of the coaches could explain to him that he is allowed to score even when playing on the wing. Lots of our other midfielders manage it, and even some of our defenders...
And tbh he was ok when he started up front against Luton, but Haynes still managed to look more dangerous. We can play football even with a big man - its more a case of getting the midfield sorted & balls to feet and that looks promising right now.
And if he is sooo great surely he should be able to show a bit of versatility? Or even just look like a threat? And if his problem is with Royle, why was his goal return so poor at Burnley?
[/RANT] - Sorry, just sick of Bowditch right now

well on his recent performances he can either buck his ideas up or sh*t out. He is 19 and allready to big for his fooking boots. I for one wouldnt care if he went. ITFC dont need playboys, but i can see an uproar agaisnt Royle and sheepshanks if he was sold. Half of the portman road crowd have their head up Bowditch's arse.

I heard that when Bowditch became aware that Wet Spam were interested in him, his "attitude" on the training ground re-apperared again and so Joe dropped him form the first team squad - again.
If true , Bowdicth only has himself to blame...and its not he first time Ive heard that he's a cocky SOB - he's not a "favourtie" amongst the more senior players at the Club. No smoke without fire IMO !

I know that! but who ever we manage to palm him off to will be mugged off as much as Newcastle were when we sold them Bramble!bluebird wrote:Don't knock it mate, we need the money!Phil wrote:its beyond me why any premiership club or any club in the championship come to that would sign a striker that has managed to score just 1 goal that being for Burnley in the last 12 months.
I get the feeling his agent is looking for him to move asap.

But how much is Bowditch actually worth? A couple of years ago we'd of said a few million....but no club would be willing to pay more than say £250k for him I dont think.....TractorRob88 wrote:I dont understand the 'if Lee come in we will sell Bowditch bit'. Surely it would make more sense to sell Bowditch for as much as possible and then use the money to sign a better striker.

Yhe but even an extra 100k to the transfer budget would make a big difference to the quality of player we could get. This Lee guy doesent particularly fill me with excitementRach wrote:But how much is Bowditch actually worth? Why on earth not? We have no proven, experienced striker that can play more than 2 games in a row. And we have no money. Any old cart horse would do right now.ITFC10 wrote:We would all love to get a Million for him, but i cant see it happening, its about time he went now, the speculation is getting stupid, as for Lee, i dont wanna see him at PR.

I really cannot believe that ITFC would get anywhere near
250k for Deano. I dont particularly rate (as I am sure anyone does)
at striker who has not scored for over a year.
He cannot get a regular place in the team, Now he appears to be
a teenager telling his Manager how to do his Job, None of that
IMHO is going to impress anyone, unless they got him for next to
feck all.
Lets not forget that ITFC have been restricted to loan signings
and if we are buying in strikers for 100 - 300k, other managers
will surely not see how we would be wishing to move on a player
worth in access of those amounts.
Of course it may be frustrating for Deano and very difficult to
keep ones mouth shut when you feel aggrieved, but at the end
of the day whatever style Bowditch has got it does not
appear to suit the style of footie we play at Portman Road.
There are options for strikers at PR and hopefully when Fozzie and Parkin
are fit, (Proudlock as well maybe) then we may get the benefit
of finding out who the best strike partnerships are. Unfortunately our
plagued season has never allowed any 2 strikers to bond.
Lastly has there ever been a time at Portman road when a player who
appears to be in a position as Bowditch is, who has stayed..
