You should have seen them in the Punch & Judy
There was loads of them singing mad songs and drinking loads of beer, bet the owners of that pub are a happy bunch tonight, all the money they spent in there

i did , they were a fantastic bunch, their English was excellent. and i have some German Lager in my freezer ready for sampling. courtesy of one fan.
it was a shame that some of the N/S lower were taking the p*ss out of them suring the game.

Hello Tractorboys, thanks for your hospitatity !!!
What a great trip!
How was our support?
for the one fellow in the pub: how was the taste of the Frankenheimer beer?
the game was not that good, but we are Fortuna Düsseldorf, we know what it means to suffer
Prost

Hi Altbier..
Glad you had a great trip and really disappointed we could not
make a win for you.
Of course not everyone at ITFC knew of your visit, but for those of
us at Tractor-boys.com who did I think we all agree it
was a great turn our by you guys and given the lack of support we had
yesterday you helped with the noise.
We hope that it does not put you off coming back to visit us again
in the future..
Anyway we hope some of you will stay signed into Tractor-boys.com
to see how we get on in the future.

Couldn't agree more, they were rocking in the P & J, it was all downhill after that, to a half full PR, no atmosphere, crap game!
RESPECT to our German friends!

Thank you, for your Hospitality.
All the people we met where nice and friendly, some of them a bit surprised though
We had a great Day out at Portman Road and the P&J`s and enjoyed our visit.
Unfortunately Ipswich lost their game, hope, things are getting better for them soon, as they did not deserve to loose this match.
I hope, you enjoed our support and will meet again, may be, the next time in Germany.

yesterday we supported Ipswich
our team is Fortuna Düsseldorf, founded 1895 and entered the league in 1913. They play 3rd level now but like Ipswich they have had a good run in the late 70ties and beginning 80ties when they met famous FC Barcelona for the '79 EC II - Cupfinal (lost unluckily 3:4 a.e.t) and won two German F.A. Cups in a row! In 1933 Fortuna won the German Championship as first team of the (industrial) western part of our country beating Schalke 04 3:0.
thank you for your great hospitality...it was a great time we had at the game (sorry "we" didn't win) ...and at the "punch and judy".
wen I play some indoor-football tomorrow I will wear my new Ipswich jersey with pride!
Greetings from Bonn!

You guys were absolutely sensational. Thanks so much for your support and here's to more camaraderie in the future between Ipswich and Fortuna Dusseldorf.
And St. Pauli
I can only hope this is the birth of something special.

St Pauli fans are awsome, there are a few here where I live, I'll admit I don't really like German footy, but I'd go to a St Pauli game any day.
St Pauli = RESPECT

Anglo-Saxon: you can join us in Hamburg as St. Pauli and Fortuna Duesseldorf both play in Regionalliga Nord. The Next match will be in Hamburg:
18.02.06 FC St. Pauli - Fortuna Düsseldorf 1895
So you will see both teams in one match and you can meet us again
Right after the match we will celebrate on the Reeperbahn together with the St. Pauli fans (that`s for sure and will not depend on the match result).

I guess we will rent some coaches again and if the will take that route it should be possible.
On the other side you can come to Duesseldorf if you like to.

we don't want to see premierleague-football with international stars. We are fans of real english football, kick and rush.... last time we choosed Brentford vs Colchester this year it was Ipswich-time!
here is an article with further information on this topic (report in a brentford fanzine about our last trip):

I've ended up on this forum purely through trying to find out who those guys were! It'd be great to have that much noise out of the Cobbold stand on a normal Saturday
(And I was in the north stand lower, over on the left, and didn't hear anybody giving them grief - we joined in with their chants when we could)

i started in n/s lower just left of the goal(P113). i tried to explain to the ppl around me, but some of them were less than appreciative of our German friends support. as there was lots of room to move around i ended at T148 much more appreciative crowd around me.

You ended up about fifteen feet away from me - so yep, that was the right part of the crowd to be in...
