SVEN OUT! No, he's really going. After the World Cup...

Post by monstermunch » Mon Jan 23, 2006 5:48 pm

On all your good sports news sites right now.

I'll say this right now, if Fat Sam or McClaren take over, I'll stop supporting England.

Suggestions for his successor?

Stuart Pearce, he'd install some much needed passion into 'em!

Firstly, let me just say, I'll never ever give the Sun or News of the World a single penny for their vile rag again - not that I was exactly a regular reader anyways.

If McLaren gets the job, we're fooked, the guys useless. Big Sam would be ok by me, he knows what he's doing, regardless of his history with Town. How about Paul Jewell, he certainly proven himself over the years, and he sure plays an attractive style of football.

I sent NOTW an e-mail today
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to register my disgust at the way in which you have treated Sven
Goran Eriksson over the space of the past two weeks. Not only was the way in
which you extorted this information entrapment, you have also dealt a serious
blow to morale in the England camp just a matter of months before a World Cup
which we have the best chance of winning in years.

It sickens me that the moment anyone in the public view does anything wrong, you
pounce on them and do your utmost as a newspaper to drag their name through the
mud and try your hardest to ruin their career.

As for the so called 'scandal' that you have unearthed about Mark Oaten, I find
it disgraceful that you should set out to ruin this man's career without any
concrete evidence. All you had to go on was the word of a sordid rent-boy who
would probably do anything for a little cash.

As for your moral standpoint, why do you see fit to ruin the lives of people
such as Mark Oaten whilst paying equally morally detestable people to provide
you with such stories?

I would very much like to hear your replies on these issues,

I hope to hear from you soon.

James Laughlin
Supposedly it's been passed on to the editor for comment... I wonder what he'll say - if anything!

The kind of pricks they use in the NOTW will probably tell you thats
what the punters want to read..

BUT I dont agree..

If theres any English football fan out there who wishes
to read such bullshit which will lower the moral of the Team, The Fans
and the country prior to the World Cup then let me at em..

But then again guys and gals, lets be honest, the NOTW is known for its
crap and it can only be written by such people.

Thing is, normally I not particularly bothered about England. But in the words of the great (?) Kevin Keegan, I would love it if we won the World Cup with Sevn, LOVE IT. Just to prove those arses at the NOTW wrong.

And there's no way we'll get a highly rated foreign boss now, Capello, Hiddink and the like will run a mile at the scrutiny. Fat Sam it is then :(

To tell the truth I don't like him, OK I don't care if he screws all the birds that work at the FA, that's his buissness, but lieing about it is another thing IMHO

I don't like Sven as out manager, however i saw someone say on sky sports news this morning that what the NOTW did is the lowest form of journalism, and he's correct. They went out to get dirt from him, and while they certainly got it, it's not the ideal preparation with a major tournement around the corner. Imagine how Michael Owen feels working for a manager who has told the world he onmly joined Newcastle for the money

I really do hope we get an English manager though, someone who knows about English pride and passion. McClaren is a definate no, look at how he's struggling with Middlesbrough despite the huge investiments the chairmen has made. He cannot motivate his players.

We need the beat available! doesnt matter whether they are english or not.
Suggested england managers:

McClaren is doing poor at middlesboro but knows the english set up. As for Fat Sam......................he cant bring in his past famous ppl on free's for england and plays the big hoof up.................no thanks!
Pearce is prob the best one, and hes been managing for less than a year so.........

I think any1 who is gonna play 3 at the back with wingbacks as we have too many good centre backs not to be playing 3 of them!

But anyway, Sven has at least done better than hoddle, keegan and taylor

The NOTW are complete cvnts!
Wouldnt surprise me if the editor was a scotsman! Why ruin the best chance of winning a world cup in years! By trying to make the manager look a tit! They should be fvcking ashamed!
I for one will NEVER read that sh*te heap rag.

Sorry but where has "English pride and passion" ever got us?

Keegan was appointed as someone who supposed had those qualities but he was also totally niave to international football.

I must admit that I'd like a manager with more passion than Sven but I also want a manager who has the tactical knowhow to win us trophies and at the moment I can't see any English managers with those qualities...where are the modern equivalents to Brian Clough and Bobby Robson?

Does anyone really believe that Curbishley, Allardyce, MacClaren or Pearce would be able to turn our feckless underachievers into world beaters?

Because I'm sorry but I sure as hell don't.

Living in Scotland I have already felt the scumness of the notw and the Sun, being a strong and passionate England fan, I was horrified when the Scottish version of the Sun created a campaign to support Croatia in Euro 04, as it was thought Croatia would be our downfall.

I stay well away from all copies of the notw and Sun, and i only hope others do the same. They are all scum, and manipulating someone who has done nothing wrong, is just not cricket.
