Fab Received Threats

Dutch full-back Fabian Wilnis has revealed he received threatening mail from Norwich fans after predicting a quick Premiership demise for their club back in 2004. The 35-year-old felt that Nigel Worthington's side, then top of the Championship, would not be good enough to survive in the top flight.

Wilnis was proved right with the Canaries lasting only one season in the Premiership. The former De Graafschap man says that some supporters of the Norfolk club didn't take kindly to his prediction: "I got a lot of hate mail and it got to a point where it was very threatening.

"They were saying things like they were going to wait for me after a game and break my legs - that sort of thing."

Wilnis says he considered contacting the police but in the end decided not to take the matter any further.

I guess the truth just hurts!!!

Luckily for fabian it hadn't hurt too much!!!

To be honest though just about the whole country except from some hole in norfolk knew that Norwich wouldn't stay up. They were lucky the season they got promotion and showed their real quality the very next season onwards!!!

i'v just this minute been reading this in the EADT......Fab actually sounds as if it did upset him a bit at the time and even concidered going to the police...if they were that threatning then as a father of smalll girls, I think he should have done.....hopefully all the verbal He's bound to get on Sunday will only just make him play even better against a sad and bitter team :wink: ......FABIAN WILNIS IS A BLUE...... :wink:

Whoever gets our goals, I want them to run over to the norwich fans and kiss the badge! They would effing hate that! :lol:

Has any one got the feeling that this derby match, has got the makings of a classic?

I reckon it could be a real hard core battle more then normal, on and off the pitch, both teams havnt really done anything this season, and are only really battling for local pride!
I hope Fabs sends the welsh hobbit 6ft in the air i really do!

Its going Im afraid to be a tough game as the sh*te have a good record over the last couple of seasons.If and its a big if we can defend well I can see us taking at the very least a draw away from carrot road.

He didn't report it to the police as he knows Norwich is full of fairies. I'd love Fab to get the winner.
