Fuller out of the squad tomorrow
The official site says that his work permit only allows him to play for Southampton. Proudlock has now been added to the squad.

LMAO, when will it end?!
What c*ck up!
Fuller was to become the 11th player to play up front for us this season!
Nice quote from JR:
"I know we've had a jinx on our strikers this season but I didn't realise it would start affecting them before they had even played for us!"

You would think that we would have somebody who checked the detail before we committed ourselves to things!Shed on tour wrote:FFS sometimes I really believe our club is the laughing stock of the league!
This season alone we have the Naylor suspension incident, a dodgy investor and now this. You couldn't make it up if you tried.

Sounds to me very much like an F,.A. balls up. There is no
way Ipswich would have announced Fullers arrival f they knew
about such a totally and utterly ridiculous load of bollocks.
Is this a rule that was motioned at 5pm today...
I dont think we came blame ITFC as both the F.A. and League had
agreed earlier that Fuller could play for Ipswich Town.

It's not the FA, the official site says "Work Permit UK" contacted Southampton and the Football League and confirmed the restriction. Who the hell are Work Permit UK? Sounds very New Labour.Earl Blue wrote:Sounds to me very much like an F,.A. balls up. There is no

Surely the FA and League should be up to date with this. I mean if this Work Permit UK company are involved, who employs them to keep records and why was this not flagged on Fullers CV. Do we ITFCleedsblue67 wrote:It's not the FA, the official site says "Work Permit UK" contacted Southampton and the Football League and confirmed the restriction. Who the hell are Work Permit UK? go directly to them or to the FA League.
End of the day it dont matter, the purpose of bringing Fuller in was to represent is in the Wolves game which is a critiical one. I feel
Ipswich Town have been let down and can only pray that we get a result
at Wolves so we can put this, yet another fiasco, to the back
of our minds
COME ON YOU BLUES

Is it normal for a footballer's work permit to restrict which club they can play for? That sounds like it could violate laws that protect workers from being indentured servants. I can't recall hearing such a thing before...Earl Blue wrote:Sounds to me very much like an F,.A. balls up. There is no

Could well be the first time that this has happened here. Naurally I
understand work permits etc etc and the reason why they may only be issued to certain employers.
However someone somewhere must have known this and I think
it was up to the supplier to inform the vendor as the supplier
should haveknown of the restraints.
Unfortunately for us atITFC another lesson learnt. The hard way.
