Scott Barron is a Preston Fan!
IPSWICH left-back Scott Barron admits to having divided loyalties as he prepares to face North End tonight. The 20-year-old makes an emotional return to Deepdale – but this time on the pitch instead of in the stands. Barron was born in Preston and has supported the club all his life.
But that won't stop the highly-rated defender trying to derail the play-off hopes of Billy Davies and his side. "Obviously I want Ipswich to get into the top six and get to the Premiership," he said as he looked forward to his first meeting with his home-town club. "But if it can't be Ipswich, then I hope it is North End going up.".....
......"I have been a lifelong Preston fan," he said. "I have always supported them even though we moved away when I was still young. "I always look for their results and that's not just because they have been play-off rivals with Ipswich for the past couple of years, it's because I am a genuine fan. "I have been to watch them at Deepdale a few times over the years and I have always enjoyed the way they play their football.
"I think Billy Davies has done a fantastic job. I have been very impressed with him.
"I thought North End were going to make it last season in the play-offs, but they just missed out. "Obviously tonight will be a strange feeling for me. "But there is no room for sentiment in football, I will still be going all out to put a dent in their play-off chances.".....
.....His favourite Preston players over the years have been Sean Gregan and David Healy, along with Ricardo Fuller who is now a team-mate at Ipswich.

Ihave sent you a PMAnglo-Saxon wrote:I saw the interview, he went on to say that he is loyal to Ipswich as he is here, well he would say that LOL, if you want to see it send me a PM.
If he is any good, we should sign him! It would be great to have ateam full f North End fans. We signed Adam Nowland at the start of the season and he is a massive PNE fan, he said it was his dream move. McKenna and Lonergan are also local lads who watched from the stands as kids.
