According to Sky Sports News Ipswich have taken former Arsenal and Birmingham midfielder Ingi Hojsted on a 2 day trial. Can't say i've ever heard of him myself, but he's an international player, he plays for the Faroe Islands

We need more than one. We need a decent midfield. Its alright having one, but we need more than one if Currie is suspended or injured.Luke wrote:Yes... and at 32 yrs of age Currie wont be going on for ever - so best take at look around now and feed the prospective new guy in to the set up gradually !Luke wrote:Yes... call me naive, but i feel we do stand a chance next season.......taking into account the shi*e we've had this season regarding injuries etc i feel we haven't done that bad......joe's not faultless i know but his hands have been tied for most of the season.edo_blue wrote:But truejohn_ipsw2 wrote:edo_blue wrote: True, he's only 21, and plays for the Faroes so he's used to losing so he should fit in ok![]()

ok, so look at the injuries and tell me if we had had a bit better luck with this one factor of the season we wouldn't be in the mix or within a chance of getting in the play-off's this season, fact is we've had it tough this year and roll on the next as far as i'm concerned.edo_blue wrote:This season? Defo roll on next season, I know we've had injuries, there's no denying that fact but could you have seen Forster and Parkin getting us the goals to put us in the mix. Personally I couldn't. Joe has a lot to answer for regarding this seasons signings, like they say, you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. I know it's not all his fault, but the buck stops with someone, so why not Joe?john_ipsw2 wrote:ok, so look at the injuries and tell me if we had had a bit better luck with this one factor of the season we wouldn't be in the mix or within a chance of getting in the play-off's this season, fact is we've had it tough this year and roll on the next as far as i'm concerned.edo_blue wrote:This season? So much negativity!!! Injuries have been without a doubt this season a major stumbling block, Our youth have been called upon and in my opinion and that of a great many others, have done more than expected.
We knew what we were getting when we took on "sicknote" Forster at the start of the campaign,15 games if we were lucky enough!!
The injury to Parkin is the worse and ONLY major injury in his career,I accept that he didnt exactly quite light up PR on his arival as Lee did, However i do expect better things from our front runners next season. Our front runners consisting of Lee,Parkin,Forster and Haynes....Makes you want to renew your season ticket already dont it?
The midfield without Juan, whom i suspect we are not going to be able to afford,Looks reasonable. The emergance of Garvin, the introduction of Williams, the improving westlake,Richards,Currie and even Sito who enjoyed playing in that role in our recient win over Norwich reserves and not forgetting the hard working Skard, who i suspect will play a massive role in next seasons campaign.
Defensively we are still weak,Casement needs to be playing at the heart of our defence and learning his trade now rather than later,Mceverly should be sent home for he simply is not good enough and i was indeed a big supporter of him and gave him all the encouragement. Casement,Naylor,Devos and Fabian can cover our Centre half positions,We are in desperate need of both left and right back cover for Sito and Barron,Fabian, though he gives it his all, will have tired legs next season and if we are serious about doing a Reading, these issues must be addressed preseason.
I would like it for BFJ to remain at the helm for one more season,But whatever sort of season we finnish at,even if we obtain promotion,This supporter would like to see Mogga if Dario Gradi is unavailable,to lead us in the Prem!!!!
Enjoy the remainder of the season and see ya awl at PR for Brighton!!!

LnP, dario gradi has turned down bigger jobs than ours to stay at crewe, he will never be sacked and is very content to stay there
agree about mogga though, he could be a great choice, but alas, i think sheepy is too close to BFJ to sack him, its gunna be a case of joe walking rather than sheepy sacking him
