It was a clear cut penalty, even McCarthy had no complaints...

No way that was a dive, he was just clean "taken-out" plain and simple, I can't imagine there being any complaint from any side about that decision.

Unlike MB's behind the goal line call when he was moving along the goal line with the ball at the North Stand end, no way that went out!!!

definate penalty, although he was running away from goal he took away his legs so it was a penalty

on the subjects of dive did anyone see huckerby get in a strop because he wasn't awarded a penalty for his dive?

From where i was sitting it looked like a pen, Benty wouldn't dive anyway!

Agreed.

To be honest I dont think Bent was gonna get it anyway, but the keeper made a mistake and he has to pay for it, shame, but thats the way it goes.

It was. We sit in the GreenKing Upper and saw it perfectly clearly. IT WAS A PENALTY

Yer he went looking for it, he was going no were, but every ref would have give that! so in my eys it werent a dive!

The ball was going away from goal but the goalkeeper recklessly dived in front of Bent and any decent striker is going to go down rather than try to stay on feet and chase a lost cause.

My answer is that it wasn't dive but had the ball not of been going out of play I think Benty would have jumped the goalie and put the ball in the back of the net.

I think that Myrhe got what he deserved for making a rash decision.

Rock on Tommy Miller for cooly slotting away another penalty.
