A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

6. In the book mentioned in 5 ( it was a football related book ) there was a subsequent film. The lead actor has a connection to Pat ... yes, that Pat.

Can confusion create headaches? Or should I go to the GP “drop in” surgery in the morning?
Incidentally, the surgery I go to has a great view of the Patricia “Pat” Firth of Forth.

sometimes to much knowledge hurts, lol. I have just been reading this thread back from the 1st page, just in case the film was made from this mad house thread, I was going for Saint Jude. I forgot the Don R.I.P. used to join in.

Just to the actor who appeared in the film. If you get the film (and book) you should know the club he played for.

Yes. Correct book/film. The film would identify the team, the book discusses this player in depth. But not in a particularly complimentary way.

Who the hell is Paul Ashworth?
Changing course.
7. Although I’m well travelled, I didn’t have a place in Las Vegas.
8. I started my career next to a donkey.

Just googled him. Not PA. Interesting to know how you got to him, but it’s not him.

am I reading this question wrong, it leads to David Rocastle except the under 21 caps,
your clue " I started my career next to a donkey". leads to starting next to Tony Adams so are we getting close.
actually forget that answer, looking back at the clues. he died a while back

Excellent question, TF and excellent answer, Wolfie.
I’d have still been guessing long after Paul Hurst gets his first win as Ipswich Town manager.

3. I have international caps at Youth, U23, and at full level.
4. I managed a club in a final at Wembley Stadium.

these should help
Clue 5.. Although my career was literally ended at Portman Road in 1962 I carried on playing until 1964.
Clue 6.. I unexpectedly got the chance of returning to football 1972/73 season for the same club.
Clue 7. Although my club lost at Portman Road that day I actually won.
Clue 8. I played for my country in four qualifying matches for the 1962 World Cup finals in Chile but illness stopped me playing in the finals.
