I have asked the Don Cup scoring a$$holes to score on both the Paul Lambert pic and the Barmy Billy pic.

Same team again.
But Teddy Bishop replaces Edun on the bench.

Second week in a row. The guy isn’t good enough. And Pennington has no special awareness, he only plays well when the game is in front of him.
Feel like I’m watching MM side again.....

Well after that first half display Paul Lambert has got a massive task on his hands, F*****g Spence is useless, not a bloody challenge for that cross he's looking at, GET RID, PL will have to bring in 2 new strikers FACT, we look more like a rag tag Div 2 outfit, Bart looks sh*t scared to even kick the ball, if he wants to play like that he can go in Jan window, how can you fans possibly get behind that crock of sh*t 1st half performance, i can see one hell of a clear out by PL, they might be good on the training pitch, but on the PR pitch its back to square one, i lost count how many times they cocked up with passes, they just being muscled off the ball, far too light weight

2nd half better, but to coneede a 2nd goal from our cornrr was criminal. Young Lancaster hit the post at the death . We need a miracle.

With such a massive show of strength from the fans I expected more fight from the team.
First half was a disaster - outclassed.
Better second half but poor quality in our passes. OMG- those corners!!!!!
Swing it in and give our big guys a chance.
Plenty of work needed here!
Not quick enough to the ball, not committed to the tackles, and just not good enough. We do need new players with better quality in midfield and in front of goal.
Also - no imagination and outstanding skills.

AS I last stated PL has a massive task sorting this bundle of shyte, we didn't wake up until the 85th minute, what a display from the Likes of Lankester, Downs was good, Jackson took his goal well, but Spence please PL dont put that tw*t on the pitch ever again, cost us both goals, Freddie running like a headless chicken up against giant West Brom back line, absolutely bullied off the ball, they were physical and were not going to be intimidated by a very shy Ipswich team, performance points out of 10, 4 would be generous, so i think the likes of Chambers, and a few others wont be given a new deals, if PL sticks with this lot he has to instruct get Bloody Physical, and get fit, and please bring in at least 2 quality strikers,

Re: Ipswich Town vs West Bromwich Albion Preview & Matchday Thread
First game I have watched this season.
The Baggies are a top side and will probably go up again as they always do when they come down.
When you consider we are the bottom side (and I can't see this changing soon due to the squad PH assembled) and that WBA put 4 past Leeds two weeks ago it felt all things considered it was a reasonable performance.
First half we were rabbits caught in the headlights, but you can't really fault our teams effort second half. It was good to see Jackson get on the score sheet.
I admire how PL directs from the sideline too.
Had that last free kick snuck inside the post we would have probably been delighted with a point from this fixture.
This is why I guess I love this sport (as oppossed to our National game which is dull unless playing Ireland) in that there are always chances and little mistakes count which can make many matches go down to the wire.
Although the outlook for the rest of the season is poor, I do think the PL effect has done wonders in such a short space of time with the tools he has to work with.

Better second half........ but, ......, I have a very bad feeling that the 15/16 years in the championship will be coming to an end in May. It’s going to need a proper miracle.
I do like Downes. Could be awesome.

Outplayed first half but much better second half which we gave as good as we got. Again we gave away Two stupid goals, the second one was criminal. I think Frosty summed it up perfectly, they are a very good side, I really don't think it was as bad as some seem to think, this was a game which was always likely to be beyond us. I'm still confident we will be fine.

Re: Ipswich Town vs West Bromwich Albion Preview & Matchday Thread
Lambert can’t do this on his own. If ME is serious about keeping this club in the Championship he needs to seriously support his manager in the January transfer window. I absolutely detest the man for risking our future with his ridiculous appointment of Paul Hurst, but now he’s got a decent manager it could prove pointless if he expects him to keep us up with our current resources.
Although disappointed we shouldn’t be too harsh on our teams defeat to WBA especially given the way they ripped Leeds apart with a 4-1 win in their previous fixture.

Derick....... I know you don’t see eye to eye witn GNB and I don’t know if you know his history....., but his family are originally connected with Ipswich. With Norwich & WBA being the main rivals, (Wolves fan) he is merely stating that the top o the table looks shocking at the moment. For me, Norwich & Hearts top the tables..... AAAARGH!!!

Re: Ipswich Town vs West Bromwich Albion Preview & Matchday Thread
I think in some shape or form, (whether it’s by Ipswich fans discussing stuff, or Norwich fans masquerading as Ipswich fans), if they remain where they are, and ITFC remain where they are, there’s going to be some serious stuff shoved in the fans faces. Probably need to get used to it.
Maybe Lambert can do a Farke-ing job at Ipswich. There was a post posted on this forum, THIS season that Farke will be the first manager to be sacked after their start....... but that changed. I share your faith in Lambo to do the same.

Re: Ipswich Town vs West Bromwich Albion Preview & Matchday Thread
Disappointed.... but putting that game into perspective.... West Brom looked a good side.
The kind of game you might expect to lose during a season.... but we seriously need to kickstart things soon.
Glad we picked things up in the second half, but first half .... boys against men.
Hoping we can take positives from the second half into the BC game... and hope BC are not on top form.
We need the team to be up for it .... and, for me, show more courage on the ball. It’s not just the effort .... Lankester comes on and at least shows the courage to take on the opposition. He’s 18. CHalobahs only 19... and he, at least, tries to get things moving. Just need more players to do that at times. Too often the ball gets played back to Chambers or Bart... resulting in a hoof...
And can we ban short corners.... just get the ball in the box in the right areas. Chances will come.
And Spence’s defending is woeful....

Re: Ipswich Town vs West Bromwich Albion Preview & Matchday Thread
As I mentioned in the preview, there are some games we just ain't going to win and can't expect to do so, this was one of them, the first half showed why, sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say the opposition was superior, that was the case. We got at them second half and created chances, there was nothing in that second period.
As someone said we need to cut out these woeful short corners, I've said that for bloody years now, I think it was Edwards and Bishop who f*cked up for the second goal, spence howler for the first, when do these stupid errors stop.
For me the first half at Reading showed why we wont go down, there are far more teams of their quality in this division than West Brom's and they are the games we need to start winning, starting with Bristol Ciry on Wednesday.
