No Interest In Knudsen
Well well what a surprise.
Left-back Jonas Knudsen, who is out of contract in the summer, has indicated he’d like to move on elsewhere but Lambert says the club has received no interest, despite Stoke and Middlesbrough having been linked in the summer.
More recently, Danish clubs FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland and Fortuna Düsseldorf were reported to be interested, while we understand West Brom have been monitoring Knudsen’s situation of late.
“Somebody’s got to come in for you and I’ve not heard anything at all,” Lambert said when asked whether Town had received any approaches.
“We’ve had good dialogue with Jonas, absolutely no problem at all, I think he wants to have one eye on something, which I can’t stop, it was before my time.
“If he’s not going to be here in the long term then we have to look at something else, that’s normal. We just can’t go with somebody we think is going to be here for a few months and then go. It’s a difficult situation for everybody and that’s why we had to bring in Callum Elder to help.”

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
The sad thing is, HE thinks he is better than he is.
When he first came to,the Club, many didn’t rate him. I kept supporting saying he just needs time to adjust t9mthe English game. Which he did after a couple of seasons, but then has done little else. After McCarthy left the Club , and JK returned from the World Cup, he came out with a statement that he felt agrevied at the “treatment the fans had given Mccarthy and as a result” ( of the manager’s departure), that he “ would now have to review his position at this Club” . I can remember at that specific point thinking , who ( or what) the bloody hell do you think you are?? Then he starts the noise a few months later, that his contract is due to expire and yet he still, hadn’t heard from the Club ( really?) .......then it became more of , I need to keep my options open..... and there has been “ real interest “( in me).
Knudsen should have kept his trap shut and concentrate on his game on the pitch. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him return to the Continent. I doubt we will get much for him, but there again , he only cost buttons anyway didn’t he!
Good luck Jonas, and cheerio. You were ( are) average at best I’m afraid.

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
Or Jonas' agent is trying to stir up some interest.......
Let's hope for the former. Although after the weekend maybe we should bring him back into the side. Ready for Norwich

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
Along with Mevans, that’s ^^^^ a second reason the club are heading into League One.

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
I wonder if Town might try and get a player exchange for Knudsen? Might be more useful than money tbh

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
Yes but she's talking about player exchange. Knudsen wouldn't even make the Albion Rovers bench.

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
Sums up Knudsen for me, "you tend to think you are a better player than you actually are" Spot on PL.Given that lack of experience at the back, could wantaway full-back Jonas Knudsen come back into his thoughts? “It depends on how lads are. Like I tell you every week, Jonas made the view [clear] that he had the eye on something else.
“Nothing materialised but it was difficult for us to say, ‘OK, if you’re not going to be here, how can we use you?’ because he wanted to maybe go somewhere else that never happened.
“You tend to think you’re a better player than you actually are. Maybe he’ll start to realise what it is.”
Is he planning to have a clear-the-air chat with the Danish international about his situation? “I’ve spoken to him all the time, it’s not as if I’ve not kept him updated, and vice versa, his stance was the same - they had to wait to see if somebody came in for him.
“I think Jonas thought somebody was going to come in for him, but sometimes… it’s your career, you know, you have to judge it by yourself.”

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
to be fair, that comment could be addressed to quite a few of the squad

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
The difference is the others aren't trying to jump ship like a rat, he helped get us into this situation and now just want's to f*ck off, how apt nobody wants him.

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
I think that may well change once relegation is confirmed - we have at least one senior player who has jumped ship before when his team was relegated

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
I think you've got your facts wrong as he was released by the clubMidfielder Cole Skuse and striker Jon Stead are among seven players released by League One-bound Bristol City.
Bristol-born Skuse, 27, has spent his entire nine-year career at Ashton Gate, playing 307 games.

No I don't think I have. He was offered a reduced terms contract at Bristol and turned it downBluemike wrote: ↑Sun Feb 03, 2019 7:16 pmI think you've got your facts wrong as he was released by the clubMidfielder Cole Skuse and striker Jon Stead are among seven players released by League One-bound Bristol City.

I haven't seen that anywhere but after 10 years service and nearly 300 appearances its hardly jumping ship from his boyhood club.

Re: No Interest In Knudsen
I would say 95% of players fail to show that level of loyalty to any club. Anyway back to the topic in point, f*ck off Knudsen
