Maybe that's why Bart didn't take any part in yesterday's game.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
Took in a view of a number of Millwall fansites to ascertain view on the Elliott / Bart situation. House of Fun would have been ideal but they've been offline for some time now (or closed down)
Reaction seems mixed. Some argue Elliott is of some value while others wish for a departure (on the inactive roster anyhow). Some don't seem to rate Bialowski, half a million would appear too much for his services. Elliott seems rated about the same valuation.
Saw this on one of their fan forums which was worth a mention :
Now, I may never have been the sharpest pin on the board when it comes to Geography but isn’t Ipswich about as far as you go to the east before you drop into the English Channel!

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
He fits the category of a big lump of a striker. I think we could do with a target man and a bit of muscle up front. Don’t think he’ll score too many, but maybe just there to bully some defenders.
Millwall fans seem pretty keen to offload him which isn’t a good sign. We need to move Bart on and, I suppose, with no other takers this could make sense. Would prefer someone with a better goal record. Any better than Harrison?

Looking at his goalscoring rare we would probably do just as well playing Bart up front.
Supposedly very strong in the air, so surprised he hasn't scored more.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
If we make the big assumption that Norwood will score a decent amount... and Jackson maybe also.... we still need to get more goals from around the team. I think Nolan and Edwards will weigh in with a few, but we need others to contribute. Could be the key between mid-table and top six.
Based on his previous, I wouldn’t expect a hatful of goals from Elliot if he comes here.

Maybe not a cool head in front of goal? Thing is if he can provide Ariel power to our strike force, being a good old fashioned hold up man for Norwood/ Jackson to feed off, it just adds another string to our bow doesn’t it.

It does. It'll be interesting if he perseveres with one up front.hallamblue wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 9:55 amMaybe not a cool head in front of goal? It's all happening I just hope all of Bart's wages are being paid by Millwall.

Yep otherwise 4-3's and 3-2's are our 'most realistic' chance of winning matches.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
Well at least the Bart situation looks resolved. It’s obvious we wanted him out and he wanted Championship football. Good luck to him.
Who knows ... maybe this Elliot is our new Kuqi ( was underwhelmed when we first brought Kuqi in) rather than a Nouble. Seemed to do well at Wimbledon which got his move to Millwall. We could do with a big lump up front and maybe he’ll be useful off the bench.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
I think Elliott gives us variety up front, mainly through his height. Going back to our home defeat by Milwall, although it was Morrison's introduction which caused us most issues, this excerpt from the BBC sport report shows that Elliott was heavily involved with all 3 of their goals ..... "Millwall equalised from the spot on the hour after Luke Chambers fouled Tom Elliott and Shane Ferguson converted.
Jake Cooper then headed them in front eight minutes later from close range as the ball was nodded back across goal by Elliott, who then profited from a series of defensive mishaps to tuck home a third.".
Yes, this was a woeful Ipswich defence granted, but if he can win his fair share of free-kicks, headed flick ons and the odd goal here and there, i will be more than happy with that.

I noticed this picture in the EADT of Elliott playing against us. Looks like him and Knudsen were playing around with the superglue. Looks like that ball needed to be surgically removed.AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 3:08 pmI think Elliott gives us variety up front, mainly through his height. Just got him on the phone, Hallam. He can’t. His wife sent him to the launderette this afternoon. He’s all out.
“Persil”nally though, I’m with Millwall fans. He’s sh*t. Big NO.

I'm with you Marko, not enthusiastic about this signing at all, but I guess it's the level we are at.
That said lets hope he DAZzles in his time at Ipswich.

Elliott could provide 'Ecover' if any strikers get injured. One for all of our planet aware fans out there...

The attacker made 38 appearances in 2019/20, finding the net three times.
That says it all, id rather keep bart, im sure he saved more than 3 goals in 38 games

I hope this deal goes through Blueblood, so when people ask me what I did on my day off I can say “Nutt’all, mate.”
