Was always disappointed that David Sheepshanks and Ed couldn’t collaborate and do something. Maybe a “Sheep-Sheeran” logo.

ReusersCurtains certainly got his nuts chewed in that comments section.hallamblue wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 12:35 pmhttps://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-new ... post473936
SHEEEEERRRAAAAN !!
So, who is it? That you DerickIpsw?
The only negative is the possibility of Ed songs at HT. That fking Galway Girl song really climbs up onto the man-tits.

You've never heard Galway Girl? Holy shoot, Pat. Hope you haven’t been in some sort of coma, buddy.patthegimp wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 1:08 pmExcellent. One of our own if a little richer than mostHave never actually heard any of his music to my knowledge. COYB
If we all lived much much longer lives than we do......, I wouldn't care if I didn't hear that song again until I was 847 years old. And even then i'd scream, "SIRI, STOP MUSIC!"

In Pat's camp with regards to the Bieber. Apart from that latino song that the Mrs played to absolute flippin death, I do not think I know any other Bieber stuff. Maybe heard stuff but wouldn't know its him.Steve and Jo wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 2:04 pmBloody glad Justin Bieber is Canadian and not from Suffolk.. He's totally Sh*te
Hopefully with Ed Sheeran as sponsor, the logo isn't changed to just X after a few games.

Re: New shirt sponsor
Just a thought....... (happy about sponsor etc, don’t give me the ReusersCurtains treatment) ..... but I do wonder how many older guys anywhere from 35 and over will purchase an Ipswich top with Ed Sheeran stuff on it? Hmmm. Think I’d be giving that one a miss.
Plenty of teenagers will be going for it though. In fact it’ll no doubt be the best selling Town shirt for years.

Re: New shirt sponsor
Not sure how many followers Ed Sheehan has globally, but if just 1% of them buys a Town shirt , that’s a helluva lot of money coming into this Club marko. Which in turn increases the amount the owners can put into the transfer kitty (60% of either revenue or profit , not sure which it is tbh ) .
I don’t think Ed Sheehan’s name will be on the shirts , but suspect it will have some connection to a new tour, possibly I don’t know . But take your point about big bellied , hairy arsed guys lol

I wear one for that iconic badge on my chest, if I can suffer Evans and gambling houses I sure as hell can go with Ed Sheeran

I’ll beg to differ on that. No danger would I be wearing a shirt with on it. No way.

Back on this pop star thing. Last time “musicians” got involved with football sponsorship...... it didn’t end well.

PMSL! Thanks for that marko
...and as for you Mike, is it your bum you’re describing, or Marko’s....and if it’s the latter, I’ll text you for a more detailed explanation.

Re: New shirt sponsor
Local singer songwriter made good sponsors his home football club is fairytale stuff not happened since Elton John did similar with Watford and look what a journey they went on. I know Ed Sheehan is only a sponsor at the moment and not an owner but I believe we’re only at the start of the journey. If his next world tour kicks off and fulfils its potential and he wears our shirt onstage our fc brand will become huge across the world.
This is absolutely brilliant news for our football club and so refreshing after our recent cheap sh*t betting ad sponsorship deals.
All we need now is some decent players fit to wear the shirt.

Re: New shirt sponsor
Nice to see a local boy made good sponsor his childhood team - much better that ME.
I hope this doesn't mean, though, that his songs will dominate pre-match and half time - because I think his music is utter crap.

Re: New shirt sponsor
Happy to buy a shirt with mathematic symbols. Favourite subject at school. Managed a B at A level. Feel deprived now that I haven't experienced Ed Sheeran's music. Will have to try harder. Next year automatic promo but will settle for winning play offs. Was at Wembley 2000, best day ever Still remember Barnsley fans clapping us as we walked away after the game. Best day ever. Worst part Town fan asking could he squeeze in to sit with his mates. Most of match squashed but worth every second

Re: New shirt sponsor
Well ... I may as well complete the set with the only colour that’ll do for a third shirt!
@IpswichTown @bmjcrew28 @berkebakay @MarkDetmer #itfc #home #away #third #kit #shirt #ed #sheeran #edsheeran #ipswich #townImage
These concepts kits look really good. Such a shame they won’t be actually used next season.

Re: New shirt sponsor
As with most "music" in the 21st century which without question is absolute f**king garbage that's not a name would even consider listening to. Just another faceless 'singer' that appeals to a certain minority but does nothing this end. Don't care what team he roots for or how well connected the name is to this club its something you wouldn't wish for regards sponsorship agreement. Too bad we couldn't get Chicory Tip or Alvin Stardust to brand our jerseys, something you can actually listen to, but not going to make any more of it.
Just symbols though not the actual name so guess you can live with it. One of the bonuses of not being able to see the team in live action week in week out comes out of it, rise above it by saying f*ck what appears on our shirts and just get behind the new expected team from August. All about what we do on the field out there aspects such as what you got here can go by the wayside.

What's your problem that was some damn fine music back in the day. Only problem was being around same company that time as c-nts like Slade and the Osmonds. Joe Dolce getting in the way of Ultravox ten years after, that level of regret and dismay. Not going to comment further on the issue.
