Yes…….., but thats it hopefully.AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 2:08 pmAnother addition to the backroom staff....

Never known there to be so many roles within a football team! If that is the way football is now, perhaps this shows further proof of how much of a Mickey Mouse outfit we were becoming under Evans (who hands up i was nearly always in support of while he was running the club).
Too many “Cooks” and all that…… pun completely 100% intended.
No proof whatsoever that “this is the way, &
mevans was wrong”.
No more “chiefs”.

True. I guess time may be the only proof of that.marko69 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 3:13 pmYes…….., but thats it hopefully.AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 2:08 pmAnother addition to the backroom staff....

Can see both + & - arguments to this, but if you are asking me to cut to the chase, i feel it is bordering on overkill! However, everywhere you look in life these days, so many businesses have created roles that once never existed, nor ever needed too.

I've just been talking to a Rangers fan I know and I asked him about Edmunsdson he likes him but said he burned his bridges with Gerrard when he went out partying breaking Covid restrictions but says he's a good player.

.....so he might be, but is he worth £1m, that’s a lot of loot for League One.Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 3:50 pmI've just been talking to a Rangers fan I know and I asked him about Edmunsdson he likes him but said he burned his bridges with Gerrard when he went out partying breaking Covid restrictions but says he's a good player.

For that amount, you’d think he’s been brought into to be our key CB. Based on his stats, it seems too much money. Could be a master stroke where they see him as one who’d kick on at this level and be a powerhouse in defence.Charnwood wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 4:18 pm.....so he might be, but is he worth £1m, that’s a lot of loot for League One.Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 3:50 pmI've just been talking to a Rangers fan I know and I asked him about Edmunsdson he likes him but said he burned his bridges with Gerrard when he went out partying breaking Covid restrictions but says he's a good player.
The one main thing for me is that he’s got Championship interest and that Derby wanted him back (but I guess they’re not in the strongest position). He’s a real unit, too.

I'll bet its not really £1m. We will see (if it's disclosed).

Well the inside info appears to be true that we’re about to sign two players (Chaplin and Edmundson). And the same source said we were well down the road with a well-known experienced CB. Wonder who that could be?
If we get these three and the LB (Coulson? ) , we’re pretty much there with the squad.

Well, true…… because McGavin was even worse.
I fear wanting K-Nood back if Coulson. That’d be a bad scenario.

I used to think McGavin was ok until Marko critiqued him on his performance for Ayr. I think Marko was probably right on McGavin.
I wouldn’t mind the lad from Dundee Utd instead. Sounds like a good prospect and might be able to buy him.
It could be the climate and diet in Scotland didn’t agree with Coulson.

I have to say I have never forgotten the performance K-Nood put in at Newcastle a few years back.
Even from the top tier you could manage to make out it was sh*t. Probably about the worst performance I have ever seen from a Town LB That saying a lot after having the pleasure of watching Graham Harbey.

Usually a can o irn bru and a deep fried Mars and its hatricks all round. Coulson was obviously a “salad” type.tangfastic wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 11:19 amIt could be the climate and diet in Scotland didn’t agree with Coulson.

The talk is that it’s a high six-figure sum where Rangers get a 200k profit. We’ll have to trust Cook’s judgement on this one as he hasn’t really kicked on in the last two years. But, apparently, Rangers have some decent CB’s and he’s down the pecking order, plus he was a naughty boy and fell out with Gerrard.Dubai Blue wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 5:54 amI'll bet its not really £1m. Posh put a bid in for him, but were knocked back, so it must be felt he’s good enough for the Championship.

Never had the pleasure of witnessing Harbey…… but K-Nood. Jaysus H. He made Tommy Smith look “ok”.Shed on tour wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 11:28 amI have to say I have never forgotten the performance K-Nood put in at Newcastle a few years back.

Went to a Littlewoods Cup tie back in 1988 at Villa Park with some workmates. In the warm up before the game Town players were taking shots a goal and then up stepped Harbey.marko69 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 11:50 amNever had the pleasure of witnessing Harbey…… but K-Nood. We were right behind the goal and getting ready to duck when He took his shot and somehow managed to hit some poor sod in a wheelchair near the corner flag. That was about the only laugh we got that night as Town lost 6-2.

Re: Paul Cooks 1st Transfer Window rumour thread.
Edmundson is a a good signing by Town.
Well able to handle League One and really is Championship level player.
Thought he was decent at Rangers but had strong competition for his place.
Gerrard rated him but Rangers are very strong in defence and a Premiership level side in England.
Good age and chance to kick on for him.

Get in there! Welcome to ITFC George.
Shaping up to be a real threat now which is long overdue, looking forward to next season immensely!
Be nice if we get Charlie over the line too this afternoon.

Misread that and initially thought you wrote ‘Be nice to get a line of Charlie this afternoon”. Thought you were taking celebrations a bit far

When you look at Derby and Reading how lucky are we in these troubled times to have the owners we have.

Re: Paul Cooks 1st Transfer Window rumour thread.
I really wonder with all these signings the OAP's being let go, and the rest up for sale,
I really wonder those that are still here, and if we get off to a good start,
How many will want to be involved with this revolution,
and up their own game to see if they can make it back into Cookie's good books?
And how many will Cookie give any chances to?

People said that about Evans in the beginning. Yes he saved the club, but lets face it, I've always looked at it as he used us as a tax loss for his other companies in the end.Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 3:09 pmWhen you look at Derby and Reading how lucky are we in these troubled times to have the owners we have.

I heard Derby have 9 senior players left, 2 are goalkeepers and one is now injured for 3 months. Stark!Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 3:09 pmWhen you look at Derby and Reading how lucky are we in these troubled times to have the owners we have.
(Can we get Tom Lawrence back off them, he was a beast for us)
