Hmm, you are right and I can't find where they get the info from, it must be the same for Football manager games as they pride themselves on accuracy.
I know in Finland you can look up peoples salaries if its over a certain amount, but it's not the case here it seems.

Definitely going to the 12th hour tonight isn’t it …. Such a shame our season ( automatic promotion) could hinge on this day …, fingers crossed anyway

Nope, it'll be the 23rd hour tomorrow. The window closes at 11pm on February 1st this year.hallamblue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 5:57 pmDefinitely going to the 12th hour tonight isn’t it …. Such a shame our season ( automatic promotion) could hinge on this day …, fingers crossed anyway

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
It’s possible to find all players and managers estimated salaries in both in the UK and abroad but there’s no point me telling you where if you don’t believe the figures, some of which are confirmed and some that are not. You are of course correct that not all individual contracts are public although the salary itself is often shared. It’s more of the detail and add ons that isn’t. What is accurately available in the public domain is every football clubs total player wage bill and that of each squad.mendipblue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 3:08 pmWhere do you get those figures from? I don't believe players personal salary information is readily available. Contracts are privateCharnwood wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 2:41 pmJust been looking at Town player salaries and a few surprises like Joe Piggott paid the same as Conor Chaplin £390k which is more than double Nathan Broadhead £156k.
Freddie was on £380k too so that’s a big saving.
George Hirst our highest paid player on £890k and Vaclav Hladky £330k is now higher paid than Christian Walton £310k.

Might be wrong but think it is to do with bringing the closing of the window in alignment with the other leagues in Europe.hallamblue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 6:57 pmReally ?? Re: JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
It’s not just the Championship where the January transfer window is quiet. Last year Premier League clubs splashed out a record £842M whereas this year the total spend so far has been less than £50M. I’m not sure of the reason for this but it may have something to do with Everton & Forest being charged with financial irregularities or more likely Manchester City under investigation. Whatever the reasons it’s definitely having a knock on effect further down t he r line.

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
It’s exactly that, teams are very aware / scared of financial rules - especially since Everton got hit. I know it’s over a three year period but unsure if that’s a constant rolling period or fixed in 3 year batches either way clubs are skint - even Newcastle are reallyCharnwood wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 7:29 pmIt’s not just the Championship where the January transfer window is quiet. Struggling to spend as they are right on the limit too - despite being back by extremely wealthy ownership.

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
Update from 2 hrs ago ;
•Ipswich Town and Sunderland have made loan offers for Kieffer Moore, but Bournemouth has not yet reached an agreement with either club.
• Ipswich is stepping up their efforts to convince Moore to join the club before the transfer deadline.

Moore would be a huge addition. I'm surprised Cardiff not listed in wherever that was read, as was worried that he had better, more recent and more fruitful times with them, but perhaps they can't meet his wages or have a full compliment in that department already.
Fingers crossed on that one I'd say.

Marvin Johnson starts for Sheffield Wed tonight so that deal looks dead.

Good. It was a backup in case someone came in with a bonkers bid for Davis, I'm sure of it. Why would you spend £1m+ on a 33 year old to warm the bench, nonsensical.Cabanas Blue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 8:06 pmMarvin Johnson starts for Sheffield Wed tonight so that deal looks dead.

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
It made sense, the 1m was BS though, we NEED an attacking fullback - we have no real cover for Davis other than Clark, which means Axel or Travis etc need to play RB and that is NOT ideal.Ricco wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 8:36 pmGood. We apparently offered a 'nominal fee' as he is old and out of contract in the summer. I cannot see Brandon Williams coming back so we are very short in this area.

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
Well If we don't buy any more players by 11 pm tomorrow, I think we will have last-minute activity, but after it closes we can still loan free none contract players if required.

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
I think today is gonna pass by with little to no activity at Portman Road, everywhere has been so quiet, the Leeds fans at work were saying yesterday they cannot believe they've signed nobody, unless that has changed last night its quite bizarre.

I still think it’ll be down to one big move in the chain and then the rest will fall like dominoes with 1-2 hrs left on the clock. If I also think this FGP is starting, finally, to make clubs think b4 they buy.

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
I will say one thing on that, football is a capitalist world and if you try and stifle it too much, then it can/will become detrimental. Unless there is a worldwide cap (which will never happen), players will always follow the money. The Premier League is the biggest league in world football right now, but if owners find they can have more impact elsewhere, then it won't take long before the big owners and the big players move.hallamblue wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 8:24 amI still think it’ll be down to one big move in the chain and then the rest will fall like dominoes with 1-2 hrs left on the clock. Be interesting to hear if anyone has a view, but surely it's better for the whole English football pyramid if the Prem stays as number 1? But when I make that point, it just comes across like I'm talking about trickle down economics and sounding like a d*ck
Either way, things will have to give, the rules were brought in more than 10 years ago when the transfer fees were smaller, the rules do need to change with the times.

Bournemouth are signing a striker so it looks like Moore will be leaving them.🫰🫰🫰
